Stila Tinted Moisturiser Review

I bought this quite a while ago from poundland and you can see that post here and as promised I am going to review it for you.

The colour that I have is slightly too dark for me but they only had 2 shades available dark and medium. When I use this I have to be really careful when I apply it because if I put too much on it turns me orange. However I do really like this it goes on really well and blends in really easily and it lasts all day. I really like the packaging as it is really different from anything else I have seen. I'm not sure whether I would have paid the full price when it was available as it is good but I wouldn't pay their prices for it. This product is discontinued I believe but I think you can get ones with a lower SPF. This offers a nice light coverage but it can be built up if you need a bit more coverage. It isn't greasy on my skin which is another bonus. The SPF 30 is an added bonus for me as I don't really need such a high SPF as I live in the UK and it doesn't get very hot.

Swatches

Blended Out

All in all this is a great product and it is great to wear to school as it is such a light coverage and it looks very natural.

Thanks for reading

Updated Skincare Routine

As promised in my last post I am doing an update of my skincare routine. I realised whilst doing my empties post that my skincare routine has changed quite a lot since my last post that I did on it. So without further ado lets get onto the products.

So I now use the Neutrogena grapefruit facial wash, I really wanted to try this as it has a pump which I thought would be a lot easier than a squeezy bottle. At first I didn't like the smell of this I found it to be too strong but now that I've used it a bit more I really like it. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed and smooth.

The facial scrub that I use is the same as before, the my skin facial scrub. It smells really nice and is perfect for exfoliating my skin. It has lasted along time as well because I only use it once a week.

I use the clean and clear moisturiser which I really like. It is really moisturising and lasts along time also it doesn't take too long to sink in which makes it perfect to use I the morning and at night.

I use the clean and clear cleansing lotion which I don't particularly like, I use it to remove my makeup at night but whenever you use it near the eyes it stings. So I have to use a separate product to remove my eye makeup. I probably won't repurchase this and I would love some suggestions for cleansers. You can see my full review of it here.

I use the garnier makeup remover to remove my eye makeup and this is the only item in my skincare routine that has remained the same since my last post. I really like this as it is really gentle on the eyes and removes makeup really easily.

Next is the witch blemish stick which I really love, it is basically a stick that you can use on your spots. Whenever I feel a spot coming on or I have a spot I put this on it and the spot instantly goes down. I really recommend this as it is very affordable and it actually works.

The last item I use is the botanics toning spray which is a relatively new product, I really like this it is really refreshing and removes and last bits of makeup that didn't come off. I did a full review of it which you can see here.

I hope you enjoyed this post

Products I've Used Up #2

I always love reading these post as you can see that a blogger has used the whole product and they can give their full opinion of it.

VO5 shampoo and conditioner

I love this range of hair care the products smell amazing and they leave your hair feeling really soft and smooth. I will definitely be repurchasing these in the future.

Garnier Ultra Dry deodorant
I really like this deodorant it offers all day protection which I find some deodorants don't always do and it smells quite nice. This deodorant doesn't leave white marks on your clothes and I've already repurchased it.

Batiste dry shampoo
I didn't like this at all, I featured it in my products I regret buying post which you can see here. I really did not like the smell of this and it put me off using it.

Macleans whitening toothpaste
I know it's a weird product to include but I finished it up so I though I'd include it. Toothpaste is a bit like shampoo for me I buy whichever toothpaste is on offer at the time. I always get whitening toothpaste though as my teeth are naturally a yellowey colour so whitening toothpaste helps. When using this I could really see a difference and I will probably repurchase it.
Dove Deeply Nourishing body wash
I really liked this body wash it left my skin feeling really soft and it was very moisturising. I featured this in my June favourites post which you can see here.

Original Source Cocoa and Vanilla bubble bath
I loved this it smelt amazing and when I used it in the bath it left my skin feeling really nice and the smell lingered in my skin. I wanted to repurchase it but couldn't find it in Tesco which is where I got it from before.

Treacle Moon Vanilla body scrub
I love this scrub it is really gentle and can be used everyday. It smells amazing and works really well with the matching shower gel. The whole treacle moon range is fantastic and I will be repurchasing it once I've used up my other scrubs.
Simple moisturiser
I didn't particularly like this. I have normal skin but I still found this to be not moisturising enough. Also it took a long time to sink in which was fien at night but not suitable for when I used it in the morining. I have just realeased that my skincare has changed a lot since the original post so I'm going to update it this week.

Champneys hand and nail cream
I found this hand cream far to greasy and I didn't particularly like the smell so I wouldn't repurchase it. I have bougght the soap and glory hand food so I will  let you know how I get on with it.

Dirty Works facial wipes
I really liked these wipes they were rewally soft and they smelt really nice. Dirty Works is a bit like soap and glory only a little bit cheaper their products can hbe found in Sainsburys.

I hope you enjoyed this post and found it helpful.

NOTD- You Are Worth It

A few posts ago I posted about an amazing free gift that I got with a L'Oreal purchase and today I am featuring one of the shades called you are worth it. I really like this nail polish it has a wide brush which makes it easy to apply. It does however need 3 coats to get it to the colour you see in the picture.

Top 5 Under £5

I saw miss budget beauty do this on her blog and YouTube channel, so I thought I would share my top products under £5. This was actually really hard not because I haven't got lots of products under £5 but because I didn't want to feature tons of MUA products as there are other great brands that are cheap but don't always get mentioned.

MUA- Undressed Palette
Almost every blogger has featured this on their blog. This is a great palette it is only £4 and it is a fantastic dupe for the Naked palette which is £36. You can see my full review of it here.

MUA Blush- English Rose
This was my first ever blush that I bought as I thought I was too pale to wear blush but this is perfect it adds a nice pink glow to your cheeks and it is only £2.50. I featured this in my August favourites here.

Collection Lipstick- Sea Shell
I love this lipstick it is a really wearable colour. It is really moisturising and long lasting and it is only £2.99. I featured this in my June favourites here.

2True Lipgloss- 22
I really like this lipstick as it isn't too sticky and it lasts a reasonable amount of time. There isn't a great colour pay off so I usually use it over the top of a lipstick and it seems to work really well. Also the 2True nail polishes are amazing you can see an NOTD featuring a 2True nail polish here. All the 2True products are £1.99 or 3 for £4.99. 2True is available at Superdrug.

Miss Sporty nail polish- Grape Fit
I love the Miss Sporty nail polishes they are such great quality and are only £1.99. They have amazing shades to choose from and this is just one of the shades I own. They have a wide brush which makes it really nice and easy to apply. It lasts quite a long time as well before it chips. I featured this in my May favourites here.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I might go on and do the top 10 under £10 post, also I may do my top MUA products if you'd like to see that please let me know.

Botanics Toning Spray Review

This is said to be a dupe for the  Caudalie beauty elixir . This replaced my much loved simple facial tonner. This is what the packaging looks like it has the same pattern on it as the other products in the Botanics range. This product is only available in Boots. I bought this when it was on offer. I love using this because it is really refreshing and leaves my a skin feeling really smooth. Another thing I like about this product is it is 100% organic. It is usually £4.99 but at the moment it is £3.99. I use this in the morning and the evening it is very easy to spray. You spray it all over your face and then wipe it off with a cotton pad. This is a product that I would truly recommend as it is so good and it is a lot cheaper than the beauty elixir and definitely worth trying.

*I have not been sponsored to write this post I bought this with my own money and this is my own opinion*

Essie Nail Polishes for £1.99

Essie Nail Polishes

Yes you read the title correctly I bought Essie nail polishes for £1.99 instead of the usual £7.99. I got 4 colours from Fragrance Direct they have a limited shade range but they have something for everyone. You have to pay for delivery and I choose second class delivery which was £1.99 but it didn’t take very long at all to get here.  On my last post I was asked if these are genuine as they are so cheap yes I believe they are genuine but they have the old brushes so therefore the old formula. I picked up A Crewed Interest Chubby Cheeks  To Buy Or Not To Buy  and Navigate Her. I am really excited as these are my first Essie nail polishes and I can’t wait to use them you can expect to see them in some NOTDs.

NOTD- 50 Shades Of Turquoise

I know it’s a poor title but I was struggling to think of one as usually I use the name of the nail polish but this one doesn’t have a name it is Shade 49 by 2true and that wouldn’t have made a very good title now would.
IMG_4113

The 2true nail polishes are really good they are £1.99 from Superdrug but are 3 for £4.99 so that’s three nail polishes for £5 which is a really good deal.
IMG_4112

I love this colour it is really pretty and it goes on really well only 2 coats were needed which is fantastic.

What’s on your nails at the moment?

p.s At Fragrance Direct Essie nail polishes are only £1.99 I’ve ordered 4 and will be doing a post on them soon

♥ Ashley Benson – Inspired Hair & Make-up ♥

Hi! I'm Becki from Dreams WithButterflies  and I’m going to be doing a guest post for Kirsty, while she has a crazy first week at sixth form!  When I said to Kirsty that I would love to do a guest post for her, I knew I wanted to do a make-up look but I was unsure what to do! So I asked Kirsty for help and she sent me a picture of Ashley Benson, and I loved the look she was wearing as it was stylish but it is still very wearable and easy to do!
In this look Ashley has fresh and clear looking skin, contour, coral cheeks and lips as well as thick black liner on both her upper and lower lash line. If you’re not aware how I write my posts first I will explain how to create the look with photos then at the end I’ll put a list of products used, just in case you want to re-create the look! I also like to ask for feedback and ask a question at the end which you can comment to! So let’s get started!
Face
Using one pump of Bare Minerals – Prime Time, gently rub this all over your face, then leave it for a minute to let it absorb into your skin and set.

Then using MAC – Pro Longwear Concealer – NW15 I am covering any blemishes or problem areas. I then use Collection 2000 – Lasting Perfection Concealer to cover dark lines underneath my eyes.

MAC concealerCollection 2000 concealer
I normally have dry/normal but I prefer to set my foundation with a pressed powder like MAC – Blot Powder as it takes away any shine and helps set your foundation.
MAC pressed powder 2
I then used Benefit – Hoola Bronzer to contour my cheekbones, temples and jaw line. I then used a light dusting of the bronzer all over my skin, to give a light bronzed glow!?!
Benefir Hoola BronzerBenefir Hoola Bronzer 2
Then to get coral cheeks like Ashley I used one of my favourite blushes of all time Benefit – Coralista and swept it across my cheeks.
Benefit CoralistaBenefit Coralista 2
Eyes
Using my favourite eye primer Urban Decay - Eye Shadow Primer Potion, blend this across your lids and under your eyes. This will help keep any of your eye products on for a longer time and cover any dis-coloration and veins.
I am then using a light slightly shimmery eye shadow from Elf - 32 eye shadow palette to give a light wash of colour, as Ashley looks like she has a light colour on her lids but the main focus point is the heavy black liner.
ELF eyeshadow palette
For the eyeliner I am using Urban Decay – 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil -  Zero and following my lash line (from corner to corner). Then underneath my eye I am using the black eye shadow from my Elf - 32 eye shadow palette to line my lash line and I am also going to use it on my liner on my upper lash line.
I am then going to curl my eye lashes and using my Soap & Glory – Thick and Fast Mascara I am going to coat my lashes well with the mascara, so that they stand out
Soap and Glory mascaraUrban Decay eyeliner
Lips
Using a small brush (I am using the accent brush from Real Techniques) I am going to gradually build the colour up until I get it to how it want it. I am using a limited edition lipstick (sorry!) MAC – Watch Me Simmer and then using the same brush I am going to add a small amount of 17 – Ultimate Volume Lip gloss – Peach Melba to give a little bit of a shine and adds a bit of colour.

NARS Douceurs de Paris Eyeshadow Palette Review

Paris, January 2012. Taken by myself
I learned first hand in January of the pleasures of Paris. Many people say Paris is their heart and soul. We all know dozens of Francophiles, and it's not really something you identify with until you actually go to a beautiful city.

I am a city girl. Born in Dublin and missing the city life quite a lot, Paris was a great fit for me. I definitely class myself as quite a European type (pretentious though it sounds) and I love any city really.

Paris, January 2012. Taken by a poor fellow who ran into the
crowd of camera whores. I'm the middle one. :)
Paris is on the cards for discussion today because I'm finally reviewing the NARS Douceurs de  Paris Eyeshadow Palette. The shades, as you will see after the jump, ooze sophistication. If I was to get all metaphorical about it, I definitely see a greige-y purple concrete, deep smutty street hues,a midnight, smog-purple night-sky and fresh, glowy shimmers all-round- as lively and bright as the city of lights itself!

Enough poetry, let's review a palette!

Instyle Magazine Clinique Freebie

This month there aren’t too many magazine freebies but Instyle have teamed up with Clinique and there are 4 products to choose from Clinique Turnaround Night Radiance Moisturiser, Long Last Glosswear, Repairwear Laser Focus and High Impact Mascara., I picked up the mascara.
IMG_4082

So you get the magazine, a Mango catalogue and another clothing catalogue for Anthropologie. The magazine retails at £3.80 but if you get it from Tesco it is £2.50. Magazine freebies are a great way to try products at much lower prices. So without further ado I will show you the mascara.
IMG_4083
IMG_4086
IMG_4091
I have 4 words for you I love this mascara, it is a really good mascara it doesn’t clump, it lengthens and thickens my lashes what more can you ask for. The full size is £16 which I don’t think I’ll be purchasing because it is a lot of money to spend on a mascara but if you want to get it you can get it here.
DSCN4105
And even better next month comes with free Benefit products 3 to choose from sun beam, cha cha tint or bene tint I think I’m going to get the bene tint or the cha cha tint. It comes out on the 4th October.

Have you picked up this fantastic offer?
