Max Factor Freebie

Max Factor is a brand which I have tried very little from but when I was buying a lipstick for my Grandma I saw that they had a free gift offer. If you spent £15 you got a free gift. I decided to pick up my Grandma a lipstick from them and I also picked up a few bits for myself. Today I thought I would share with you what I picked up and what is included in the free gift.
Max Factor Crème Puff Blush in Seductive Pink and Wild Eyeshadow Pencil in Caramel Rage
I’d heard a lot about the Max Factor Crème Puff Blushes and I decided to get the shade Seductive Pink (15). These are actually powder blushes but have a creamy feel to them. Bloggers have been comparing them to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes which I haven’t tried. I really love blushes and I was interested in trying these out. I haven’t actually used this yet but I did swatch it in store and it felt really nice and was decently pigmented.

The next thing I picked up was the Wild Eyeshadow Pencil in Caramel Rage (05). I really like eyeshadow pencils as they are so quick and easy to apply. I really wanted to try the Excess Shimmers but the Boots I was in did not have any.

Max Factor False Lash Mascara, Lipstick in Star Dust Pink and Glossfinity Polish Pink'ed
Now onto what was included in the free gift. The first thing is a coupon for £2 off either the Facefinity All Day Primer, Facefinity All Day Flawless 3 in 1 Foundation or the Skin Luminizer Foundation. I am interested in trying the Skin Luminizer Foundation as I really like lightweight, dewy foundations. Now onto the products. The first things is the False Lash Effect Mascara I’m always interested in trying out new mascaras. This mascara has a big, spiky wand which I am interested in giving a go.  Next I got a lipstick in the shade Star Dust Pink (615), this is a gorgeous neutral pink which I think I will get a lot of wear out of. The packaging of these lipsticks is lovely and if this one is good I can see myself picking up more shades. The last thing I got was a Glossfinity Polish in Pink’ed (72). This is a really pretty peach shade that will be excellent for spring/summer. It looks similar to Peach Melba from Barry M.

I recommend picking up this free gift if you can as it is a great way to try products from the range especially if you are like me and haven’t tried that many.

NOTD: High Tide

Today I am sharing with you what I am wearing on my nails. I got this polish in a set for Christmas a few years, the set is by Fearne Cotton.
NOTD: High Tide
The shade I am sharing with you today is High Tide which is a gorgeous dark blue. This is a gorgeous dark blue shade, a deep indigo that can at times look a bit purple in certain lights.

NOTD: High Tide
This polish applied really well and I only needed 2 coats. I found this polish to be quite long lasting it lasted about 5 days.

NOTD: High Tide
I think that this polish is absolutely gorgeous. I am in love with the colour and I don’t have anything else like it in my collection.

Marie Claire Magazine Freebie (April 2015)

Marie Claire Magazine Freebie (April 2015)
I do love a good magazine freebie especially when it is full-size Nails Inc polishes. As I have mentioned before Nails Inc is one of my favourite nail polish brands and I love when magazines offer them as a freebie.

Nails Inc Fiesta
I am trying to cut back on buying nail polishes as I have so many, but I couldn’t resist such a bargain although I was pretty restrained and only got 1 shade.

There are 4 shades on offer and they are all very spring appropriate. The one I picked up is called Fiesta which is a gorgeous bright pink. The other shades are Fizz (a pale pink), Fashion (a lovely lilac) and Festival (a pale nude).

I’m hoping I’ll be able to find Fashion as that is the only other shade I am interested in as I don’t have many lilac shades in my collection. I’m not too keen on Fizz as I don’t very often wear pale pink shades. I probably won’t get Festival either as I find nude shades really hard to wear as they often don’t look right with my pale skin.

Which shades will you get?

Bellapierre Eyeshadow Palette in 24K Taupe Review

I have had this eyeshadow trio for a while now and I have mentioned it a fair amount on my blog but I have not written a review on it. Today I thought I would review it for you.

Bellapierre Eyeshadow Palette in 24K Taupe
The packaging is really simple, it comes in a black plastic compact which has a large mirror inside. The packaging is very sleek which makes it ideal for travelling as it takes up little space in a makeup bag.

Bellapierre Eyeshadow Palette in 24K Taupe
Being a trio it comes with 3 shades, all of the shades are shimmery colours. There is a brown, pink and a cream colour. You can create a variety of different looks with this trio. I like to apply the pink shade all over my lid, the brown in the crease and the cream shade in the inner corner. To apply these shadows I use the Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush to apply the colours to my lid and crease and I use the Real Techniques Essential Crease Brush.

The formula of these shadows is really good, they are all shimmery shades but there is little fallout. The shadows are really pigmented and long lasting.

The trios from Bellapierre cost £22 which in my opinion is a lot of money however Bellapierre is a mineral makeup brand and it uses natural ingredients which is why it is quite expensive. I got this in a set from TK Maxx, the set was the Travel Essentials which costs £50 and I believe I got it for £15 or £20.

Bellapierre Eyeshadow Palette in 24K Taupe
Overall I do really like this trio and I use it a lot but I am not sure whether I would pay £22 for it as to me that is a lot of money. You can get the Naked Palettes for £10 more and they come with 12 shades.

February Favourites (2015)

I can't believe that February is over this year is going so fast already. Next month (March) is my birthday and I'm really excited. Today I will be sharing with you what I have been loving over the past month. This month I don’t have too much to share with you as I haven't tried many new products.
February Favourites
My first favourite is the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Powder. I have been using the Maybelline Fit Me Powder for ages and it has been my favourite but I really like this new powder from Rimmel. It is very similar to the Fit Me one in packaging and formula. Both powders come in a compact which you can lift up and underneath there is a mirror and sponge this is great if you plan on taking it on the go but it does mean that the packaging is quite bulky. I personally like very fine powders as I don't want my skin to look cakey and this one ticks that box. It says that it can be buildable which if I'm honest I have not tried. I have been really impressed with this powder I don't think it's any better than the Fit Me as I think they are very similar. I've tried a couple of things from this range; the primer and the foundation and this is definitely my favourite thing from  range.

My next favourite I think I have mentioned before in a favourites post but I really love it so I thought I'd mention it again. I got the Bellapierre Trio in 24K Taupe from TK Maxx and it is one of the best things I have ever bought. It comes with 3 eyeshadows (obviously) which are really wearable shimmery shades. I love shimmery eyeshadows, this comes with a brown, pink and cream colour. Despite there only being 3 shades you can create so many different looks with it and they are all pigmented and easy to blend.

February Favourites
I have been loving the Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie. I have a few of the Lip Butters and I really like them but this is my favourite  as it is such a wearable shade. Berry Smoothie is similar to Honey from the Just Bitten Kisssable Balm Stain range which is my most used lip product ever. This is great to apply when you don't want to wear anything too bright but still want to wear some colour. The lip butters are really hydrating and sheer so they are great to wear on a daily basis however they are buildable. This is a great shade to keep in your handbag as it is so easy to apply and I'd say you could apply it without a mirror.

My last favourite is a new release from Benefit. When I heard about the new Rollerlash Mascara I was excited to try it out as I like the They're Real Mascara. I was even more excited when Elle Magazine gave a sample of it away in this months edition. I really like this mascara usually I am not a fan of curved wands as I find they usually make application messy but this is really easy to apply and not at all messy. This really helps to lengthen your lashes and the wand helps you to capture every single lash. The curved wand is designed to hold a curl and I think it really does. I am a big fan and I recommend you try it out if you can.

What have been your favourites this month?
