What’s In My Travel Makeup Bag?

As you probably know by now I am going away for 2 weeks so I have scheduled some posts for you. This is one post that I thought might be helpful if you are going away and don’t know what to take. I am not taking much with me as I plan to buy quite a few makeup items I have got a list of what I want as the shops at home don’t sell them and I’m hoping that i will be able to find the products whilst away.
Here is a list of what I think you should take with you depending on where you are going of course if you are going somewhere hot you probably don’t want too much makeup as it might melt whilst you are there but as I am staying in the UK that won’t be such a problem.
Foundation
Powder
Concealer
Various lipsticks
Eyeshadow palette that has a variety of shades
Mascara
Eyeliner
Obviously if you have a palette for your face i.e blusher, bronzer and concealer then that would be easier to carry.
Here is what I am taking I don’t know where the bag  is from as I got it a very long time ago.

Beauty And Makeup Tips- Storing Makeup

My first post in this series is going to be on storing makeup.
It is important that you have somewhere to store your makeup either a drawer in your bathroom or bedroom or a shelf it is also important not to put your makeup in direct sunlight so avoid putting it on a window sill. I am going to show how I store my makeup.
DSCN0361
As you can see I have dedicated one drawer for my makeup as my collection expands I will need to change my storage system but for now it is fine. I bought the little plastic boxes from a pound shop I think and I have separated them into sections face products in one, eye products in another and lip products in the other one.

I also have some makeup on my desk. I have a pot with my favourite lip products, an old jewellery box with my most used eye products and two separate pencil pots one for my pencil eyeliners the other for my makeup brushes. I also have a pot for hairbrushes and combs but that is a separate topic.DSCN0367DSCN0368DSCN0369DSCN0366

This set of drawers is very popular with bloggers and it is from Ikea it is pretty pricey at £85 pounds but it is something you would use for a long time. I have a plastic drawer similar but it only has 3 draws. I don’t use it for storing makeup I use it to store my hair styling products, body sprays and nail polishes but I might start using it for makeup. Obviously 9 draws might seem really big so I found this 3 draws one.
This one is much cheaper as it is only £10 but you can still use it to store your makeup this is especially good if you have a small collection. You could also get dividers and different containers to but in your draws a great website for this is http://www.muji.eu/index.asp They have stores in London, Birmingham, Guildford and inside Selfridges in the Trafford Centre. They have stores in other countries as well and you can order online.

I hope you found this post helpful as always these are just suggestions you don’t have to store your makeup like this in fact if you store yours a different way I’d be interested to hear.

When Revlon hosted a giveaway to win their much loved lip butters I jumped at the chance to enter each day they were giving away a different colour. I got an email saying I had won Lollipop which I was really happy about I later got another email saying it was a mistake and I was actually getting the shade Strawberry Shortcake I was so happy as this was the shade I had wanted originally and I included it in my Weekend Wishlist. You can see that it is a lovely pink colour and I will be doing a full review on it soon.

From this giveaway I won 2 sets of false eyelashes one from The Vintage Cosmetic Company and the other was from Collection 2000(now called Collection) I got some eyelash curlers also from The Vintage Cosmetic Company. I got a lip gloss from the I love range and this one is raspberry and blackberry. The last think I got was an eyeshadow palette by Flutter called Celine as you can see from the picture above the shades are lovely and the palette is so easy to carry around.

I really like this colour and it goes on quite well you need about 3 coats to get it to this colour. You can't see from the photo but it actually tiny bits of pink and gold glitter.

What have you got on your nails at the moment?

Pretty Little Liars Snake Ring

Ever since I saw this snake ring on PLL I knew I wanted one like it. I searched the internet and I couldn't find one that was like it that was in my price range and then the other day whilst rummaging through the charity shops I found a snake ring.

Now I know this ring isn’t identical but it is close enough especially as this ring was only 50p and it is really cute. This ring will go with so many outfits and I can’t wait to wear this.

Have you found any bargains this week?

An Amazing Find

Today whilst in the charity shop I found this bag for £2.50 what a bargain.
It is this bag from Boots and inside was lots of Botanics goodies. This bag hadn't been open as it still had the plastic thing between the zip so people can't open it in the shop.

Inside the bag you can see that there is a lot of space also the mesh compartments can be taken out as they are stuck in with velcro.

I can't wait to try these I'll be taking them with me on holiday as they are small and it doesn't matter too much if I leave them behind.

Have you tried any of these products? I'd love to hear your opinions
