Benefit Freebies With Elle Magazine

The January edition of Elle Magazine has some amazing freebies at the moment. This month they have some Benefit goodies. They have 3 products to choose from: 2 lipglosses in the shade Dandelion and Coralista (these shades match the blushes with the same names) the other product is the They're Real mascara which I already own and love. This is a great opportunity to try out some products before committing to a full size version.
I picked up the 2 lipglosses as I already have a mini version of They're Real and I have a ton of other mascaras to use so I thought I'd better not buy another mascara. I love the packaging of these two lipglosses I think that they are so cute.

As you can see from the above swatches they are cute colours and they will make a nice addition to my collection. Also they smell really good and because they are quite small they will be easy to slip into my handbag.

Have you picked up any of these freebies?

Along Came Betty Pore Fectly Clean Hot Cloth Cleanser Review

So I  am sure that you are already aware I love using creamy cleansers to remove my makeup. I have tried a few already both from Superdrug; the Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser and the Naturally Radiant Hot Cloth Cleanser .  I thought I would try this one from Along Came Betty as I have tried a few products from that range and I have really enjoyed them. I have tried the Glow On Moisturiser the One Pot Of Polish Body Scrub  and the bubble bath as well. I have liked all the products that I have tried from this brand so I thought that the hot cloth cleanser would be worth a try.

Along Came Betty Pore Fectly Clean Hot Cloth Cleanser
The Along Came Betty range is available at Tesco. The range of products are very affordable, they do skincare, bath products as well as makeup. The range is very similar to Soap and Glory but this range is cheaper. I love the packaging of this range I think that it is really cute and girly.

Along Came Betty Pore Fectly Clean Hot Cloth Cleanser
This product costs £5.99 but is currently on offer for £3.99. You get 100ml of product but when you use it you don't need a lot of the product. Like all the other hot cloth cleansers I have tried this one comes with a muslin cloth which is what I use to remove the product from my skin. This product smells amazing, it's difficult to describe but it is quite a sweet smell which I love. The product contains shea and cocoa butter so it doesn't dry out your skin, it also contains antioxidant cranberry. This product removes all my makeup and any dirt on my skin. The combination of this product and the muslin  cloth helps to gently exfoliate my skin. I don't normally use this sort of product to remove my eye makeup as I prefer to use micellar waters to remove my eye makeup but for the purposes of this review I have tried it on my eyes and it removes makeup quite well. The product doesn't sting the eyes and the majority of my eye makeup is removed by it. This cleanser leaves my skin feeling fresh and soft. I always use a moisturiser after using this product and my skin feels so good after using it.

Along Came Betty Pore Fectly Clean Hot Cloth Cleanser
To use this product you squeeze a small amount onto your hand and rub it all over your face. You then run the muslin cloth through warm water and then gently wash away the product. This product will remove will remove your makeup and any dirt on your face. You can use this product both morning and night however I only use it at night time as I use it to remove my makeup. I use a face wash in the morning to clean my skin. I will be doing an updated skincare routine shortly so you'll be able to see what I use.

Have you tried anything from Along Came Betty? Do you have any recommendations?

December Favourites

Today I wanted to share with you me December favourites. For some reason I seem to have forgotten to do a November favourites, I don't know what happened there as I could have sworn that I did write a post. I will be doing a 2013 favourites post but that will come out next week.
So onto my favourites, this month I have gone back to some old products that I love. I have been using the MUA Undressed Palette a lot this month. I love all the shades in the palette and I think that they are fantastic quality. The shade that I have been using the most is shade 2 (which you can see pictured below) I love this shimmery colour and I usually just wear this all over my lid as it is quick and adds a hint of colour Shade 2 is the shade that I often wear to school as it adds a hint of shimmer without being too much. I have been really liking the Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil in Dark Brown filling my eyebrows in is something that I only really started doing this year but I understand what people say about filling in your eyebrows it really does complete your look. I really like this pencil it is soft so easy to apply without being too waxy. I love the colour of it it matches me really well and it is very affordable. This month I have gone back to my Maybelline Great lash Mascara I really like this mascara and I love how it makes my lashes look. I was actually complemented this month on my lashes so you know a mascara is good when you get complements from it. My last makeup favourite is the MUA Blush in Candyfloss this is such a gorgeous colour and it is very wearable for the daytime. I love the hint of shimmer in it and it lasts all day on my skin. I wear this to school as it gives a little hint of colour to my cheeks.

My last favourite is a random one but I wanted to include it as I having been loving them. It is gingerbread lattes. I am a massive coffee drinker and I love a lot of different types. I like this range from Nescafe as they do a lot of different flavours. This is one they bought out for Christmas and it is amazing. I have been stocking up on them before they stop selling them as they are limited edition.

Above are the swatches of my favourite products.

What have been your favourites this month?

Festive Nails

Merry Christmas everyone I hope you are all having a fantastic Christmas day. I wrote this post last night as I had a major blogging session and scheduled lots of posts as after Christmas I am going to be revising for my mock exams so I might not have much time to blog. I will try and blog as much as I can for you but I hope you can understand that my exams will always come before my blog.
Nails Inc. Big Apple Red and Glamour Glitter
So I hope you are having a good day spending it with your family and friends. I thought I would share with you my festive nails. As you may be aware I do not do a lot of nail art, this is for two reasons number 1 is I don't have time and number 2 is I am not very good at it. But this look is very quick and easy to do. Recently I have been loving my Nails Inc. polishes, I have quite a few of these and they are one of my favourite brands. However they can be quite expensive at £11 a bottle so my tip is keep your eyes open for offers as you can often pick them up with magazines. So the colours that I have used to create this look are Big Apple Red a gorgeous red colour and Glamour Glitter which is a very fine glitter top coat which I love.

Nails Inc. Big Apple Red and Glamour Glitter
I love red polishes and this is a gorgeous colour, you only need 2 coats and it is really long lasting. I love the glossy finish of it as well. I am not always a massive lover of glitter polishes but this fine glitter is perfect, it isn't too difficult to remove and it still keeps my nails smooth.

Nails Inc. Big Apple Red and Glamour Glitter
I am really pleased with this look and I think it looks very festive without being too much.

I hope you are having a great Christmas and I'd love to know what you are wearing on your nails today.

Haul December 2013

Today I wanted to share with you a few things that I have bought. I have had these quite awhile but I just haven't had time to post this haul. I got some fantastic things and I will be reviewing them shortly.

Firstly I got this amazing bargain from Tesco. It is the L'Oreal Post Party Beauty SOS gift set. The reason I bought this was because I was repurchasing the Micellar Solution as I already love it and I was running out. A single bottle cost £4.99 and this gift set was on offer for £5 down from £8 so it made sense to get the gift set which comes with the Micellar Solution and the Triple Active Day Moisturiser. I can't wait to try the moisturiser out and I will be reviewing it as soon as I have tried it.

I went to The Body Shop and me and my sister both got this gift set. My sister was buying this and the sales assistant said that you could get another one and it would only cost you £16 for both. One of these sets costs £12 so you were only paying £4 for one of them so I decided to get one as well. Inside is the Chocomania shower gel, body scrub and body butter it also comes with one of those mesh scrubby things (does anyone know the official name for them?) I love this scent and this little gift set is so cute.

Lastly I onto some makeup items. I bought another Collection Work The Colour Eyeshadow Pencil in Midnight Glam, I really like these and I wanted to try out a black one to see what it would look like. I went into my local discount beauty shop and I got a few bits. I bought a Rimmel Glam Eyes single eyeshadow in the shade Tribute I'd heard great things about these eyeshadows. People said that they were very pigmented and I agree with them. I got this for £1.49. I also picked up the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer this had been on my wishlist ever since I tried the foundation and powder. The powder is one of my favourites and I'd heard that the concealer was really good. The last 2 items I got are lip products. I picked up the L'Oreal Colour Rich lipstick in Intense Fuschia, I already own one of these and although the colour is not right for me I love the formula so I thought I'd try another one and I got it at a fraction of the RRP I got it for £2.99. The last lipstick I picked up was the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Cherries In The Snow. I'd seen many bloggers writing about this lipstick and it looked lovely so when I saw it for £2.99 I snapped it up.

What have you been buying recently? I am looking forward to trying all these products and I will write reviews for them as soon as I've tried them.

Christmas Tag 2013

1.  Do you prefer a real Christmas tree or synthetic?
I prefer real trees because they smell really nice but one year we had one and it shed a lot of pines so my parents stopped buying them but when I have my own house I will have a real one.
2.  You're in a coffee shop, it's December, what do you pick?
I would have to pick the gingerbread latte from Costa or Starbucks I have become obsessed with them. My obsession started when Nescafe bought out a gingerbread latte sachet and as I already love the vanilla ones I tried the gingerbread one and I really like it.
3.  What's your favourite colour scheme for decorating the tree?
Our colour scheme changes each year sometimes we go red and gold but this year we have done pink and silver which I think looks really pretty.
4.  Giving or receiving?
I love picking out presents to  buy for people as it's always fun to browse the internet for the perfect gifts. I love taking part in Secret Santa's as it makes you think a lot harder about what you are buying for your person and I love seeing their face when they open it.
5.  To mince pie or not to?
I love mince pies, home made or shop bought I don't mind. I just really love them. This year I have loved the ones from Co-op they have been really tasty.
6.  What's your traditional Sunday lunch?
We have turkey at Christmas with all the trimmings. I love Christmas lunch I always eat way too much but the food is always delicious.
7.  Christmas day fashion
Usually it is a dress of some sort, even though we stay at home for Christmas we still dress up.
8.  What's your favourite Christmas song?
This is so hard to pick as I love a lot of Christmas songs it's a tie between Fairytale of New York and All I Want For Christmas Is You.
9.  What's your favourite Christmas film?
I really like the Santa Claus movies and Love Actually they are my favourites for this time of year.
10.  Open presents before or after lunch?
We always open our presents before lunch as when we were younger we played with our new toys after lunch. When I was younger I usually got a board game for Christmas so after lunch and the Queen's speech we'd play a game.

Let me know if you have done this tag as I would love to read your answers.

Primark Haul December 2013

Today I thought I would share with you what I recently got from Primark. A lot of the stuff that I bought was in the sale so I'm not sure if you'll still be able to get this stuff.
Primark rose gold cross ring
The first thing I got was this rose gold double cross ring. I love rose gold jewellery but because I have quite small fingers I don't buy many rings as often even the small ones are too big but because this is adjustable and only 50p I thought I would give it a try. I really like this ring and I have worn it a lot.
Primark grey jeans

Primark black and white striped jeans
Next up are 2 pairs of jeans. One pair is a light grey pair and the other pair is black and whit stripes. Both these jeans were £3 each and they are the most softest and comfiest jeans that I have ever worn. I really like them and they were such a bargain I might have to check out some of their other jeans as these are amazing.

Primark Navy skater skirt

I then got this gorgeous navy blue skirt that has a lovely pattern on it. As you can see from the above picture the pattern is done in a lighter shade of blue. This skirt is a skater skirt and has an elasticated waist it is really pretty and looks great with black nights. I think this skirt is so universal as you can dress it up or wear it more casually.

Primark red £5 skater dress
I bought this really nice dress for £5. Primark had tones of these skater dresses in lots of different styles. The shape of this dress is really flattering and it can be styled in many different ways. I have worn this to school and I have also worn it out by just adding a gold belt and some sparkly accessories and this basic item can be completely changed. I am going to go back for some more as I really love the style and I love that they have sleeves as a lot of dresses don't which makes them very impractical at this time of year.

Burgundy heart crop top Primark

White and black spotted crop top Primark
My last 2 items are crop tops that were £2 each. I bought these to wear with my high waisted disco pants which I got from New Look. I love any type of leggings as they are so comfortable and I have worn my disco pants so much. These 2 crop tops look amazing with them. I love the colour of the burgundy one and the second one is really simple but really cute.

As you can see I got quite a few bargains here, let me know what you have bought recently from Primark.

NOTD: Black Cherries

I haven't written a post in a very long time and the reason for this is because school has been very hectic. As I am sure you are aware I am in my last year of school and next year I am going to university so I need to concentrate and get good grades and because I have been working so hard I just haven't had time to write any posts. Hopefully now that it is nearing the Christmas holidays I will have more time to write posts although I do have mock exams to revise for.
Rimmel Black Cherries
Today I am going to share with you an notd, this is the perfect colour for autumn/winter. This is Rimmel's Black Cherries I got this last year near Christmas but I lost it and I have only recently found it so I thought I would try it out.

Rimmel Black Cherries
I quite like this polish it is a deep red/purple colour which makes it perfect for this time of year. The photo above doesn't really do it justice. It has a bit of shimmer running through it but it was really hard to pick up on the camera. This colour dried quite quickly and I only needed 2 coats. It lasted quite a few days before it started chipping.

Rimmel Black Cherries
I like the colour of this polish but I'm not sure if it is too dark for my skin. Sometimes dark colours don't always suit me but I do quite like this one.

What have you got on your nails right now?
