June Glossybox

Today I thought I would share with you what I got in my June Glossybox. I decided to renew my subscription despite not getting the best box in May as I really like getting a box each month and seeing what's going to be inside it. I was really impressed with this box and I am glad that I renewed my subscription.

The first thing I got I was really happy to see. The first item is the Nailgirls 3 in 1 Base, Topcoat and Nail Strengthener. I need a new base coat as the one I am currently using is from the Boots own line and it is rubbish. This is a new launch from Nailgirls which is a brand I have never heard of. This is £13.50 for 15ml which is a little on the pricey side for me but I am looking forward to giving it a go.

Product: Nailgirls 3 in 1 Base, Topcoat and Nail Strengthener
Price: £13.50 for 15ml (I got 10ml)
Where to buy: nailgirls.co.uk

The next item I was happy to see was the L'Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes in Black. I love mascaras so I love trying out new ones. I have heard great things about the L'Oreal mascaras but have never actually tried them myself so I am looking forward to giving this a go.

Product: L'Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes in Black
Price: £10.99 (full size recieved)
Where to buy: Boots

I received a brush from the brand Teeez Trend Cosmetics. I love the pattern on the handle and I am looking forward to trying this. The brush I got is the Beautiful Flat Stiff Brush which will be perfect for packing on colour to the lid. The brush is quite expensive at €19 (about £15-16) and it doesn't actually feel that soft so it will be interesting to see how it applies eyeshadow.

Product: Teeez Trend Cosmetics Beautiful Flat Stiff Brush
Price: €19 (full size received)
Where to buy: nelly.com (you can even get Boots points via Boots Treat Street)
The next product is from a brand called So Susan which is a new brand that has just launched. Every Glossybox subscriber got either the concealer quad or a blush. I was hoping for the blush but instead I got the concealer quad. This quad is quite expensive at £20 but the packaging does not feel like it is a £20 product it feels very cheap. Also although the concealer does not contain mineral oils or animal by products it still contains parabens which I find odd as usually brands that try to be 'good' usually create paraben free products.

Product: So Susan Cosmetics Concealer Quad
Price: £20 (full size received)
Where to buy: sosusan.com
The last product is antiperspirant spray from Rituals. It is in the scent Qi Gong and has a mixture of white lotus and yi yi ren. This smells really nice and I am looking forward to trying it. This contains 50ml so is quite a small can so I think I may put it in my travel bag to use when I'm travelling.

Product: Rituals Qi Gong Spray
Price: £3.50 (full size recieved)
Where to buy: rituals.com

Overall I am really happy with this months box and I can't wait to try everything.

What did you get in your box?

Nails Inc Haul

I wrote a post here about a fantastic offer from Nails Inc. You could get 7 polishes for £19.50 which is a fantastic deal when each polish costs £11. This offer is now over but I recommend signing up for their newsletter as they do this deal quite regularly. Whilst on the website I also signed up for their VIP Scheme which costs £5 and you get a free polish. I thought I'd share the colours I got in my lucky dip.
Nails Inc- Bruton Lane, Tilney Street, Warwick Avenue and Queen Anne Street
The first shade on the left is the one I got as part of my VIP membership. It is called Bruton Lane which is a really pretty peach colour which looks like a darker version of Essie's A Crewed Interest (which I love). The next colour is Tilney Street which is a gorgeous pastel blue colour. The next shade is a gorgeous pink called Warwick Avenue  which I know I will wear a lot as I love pink polishes. The next shade is a very unusual shade and I don't own anything like it. It is a lovely turquoise colour with a gold shimmer and it is called Queen Anne Street.

Nails Inc- Devonshire Row, Argyll Street, Westminster Abbey and Adam's Row
Next we have Devonshire Row which is a lovely purple shade. I don't own many purples so this is a welcome addition to my collection. The next shade is Argyll Street which is another unusual colour. It is a sparkly grey/black colour that I can't wait to try out. The next polish is a gold called Westminster Abbey  which is another great addition to my collection as I don't own many golds but I have a lot of silvers. The last polish I got was Adam's Row which has specks of red, pink and white and it looks like confetti in a bottle.

I am looking forward to trying all these polishes and you can expect to see them in NOTD posts coming soon.

Do you have any recommendations from Nails Inc?

Revlon Lipstick in Pink in the Afternoon Review

Revlon Lipstick in Pink in the Afternoon
I've had this lipstick quite awhile now and I can't believe I haven't posted about it until now. I saw this on someone's blog and I fell in love with it. It looked so pretty and the formula looked amazing as well. I have tried another lipstick from the Super Lustrous Range and it is another one of my favourite lipsticks it is Cherries in the Snow (review here) which is a gorgeous colour that I wore a lot over the Christmas period. This lipstick is called Pink in the Afternoon (what a cute name) and it a gorgeous shade for everyday wear. It is quickly becoming one of my favourite and most worn lipsticks.

Revlon Lipstick in Pink in the Afternoon
Revlon do 2 formulas matte and creme formulas. I love creme formulas over mattes as I find mattes too drying for my lips. This formula is really creamy and hydrating on my lips.

Revlon Lipstick in Pink in the Afternoon
The packaging is gorgeous.  It is very simple black and gold but I feel that it makes it look elegant and sophisticated.  The packaging makes the lipstick look more expensive than it is (£7.49)
Revlon Lipstick in Pink in the Afternoon
The colour of this is perfect for me. It is a perfect nude colour that really compliments my skintone. I find that I can't wear brown toned nudes as they just don't suit me but this colour really suits me. This is a great colour to wear everyday as it isn't too bright but it adds a subtle colour to your lips. The colour is a medium pink colour with a peachy undertone to it. I wear this colour because it is so wearable and I love the formula. The formula is hydrating and pigmented and it is pretty long wearing as well. It doesn't last as long as matte formulas do and you will need to reapply it throughout the day but I don't mind as I am in love with this colour. I wore this lipstick to my prom (post and video to come) as I think it is amazing and I didn't want too bright a colour as I didn't want it to distract from my dress.

Revlon Lipstick in Pink in the Afternoon

Overall I really recommend this colour especially if you are looking for a natural colour to wear everyday. The Revlon Super Lustrous range is one of my favourites they have loads of colours within the range (38 on the Boots website) so there really is something for everyone. I think this shade would suit pretty much anyone as it really is such a wearable shade.

Do you have any shade recommendations from the Super Lustrous range?

NOTD: A Crewed Interest (My New Favourite Polish)

Essie A Crewed Interest
Today I wanted to share with you my new favourite nail polish. My new favourite polish is A Crewed Interest by Essie. I bought this quite awhile ago from Fragrance Direct and up until recently I had never used it. I am so glad I decided to use this because it is such a gorgeous colour. It is a lovely peach colour which is perfect for spring/summer.

Essie A Crewed Interest
I think this colour looks so flattering against my skin tone. I wore this pretty much all the way through June as it is such a lovely colour. I definitely recommend that you check this colour out. It makes a really nice change from bright colours. For me it is the perfect neutral shade as some nudes just don't work with my skin tone but this is very subtle so it's a good one to wear all the time.

June Favourites 2014

Today I thought I would share with you all the products I have been loving throughout the of June.
Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo and ConditionerHaircare
First up we have the Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo and Conditioner the one I have is for dry and dull hair and it has argan and camellia oils. This is a new haircare range launched by Garnier and it is paraben free. I really like this shampoo and conditioner, it leaves my hair feeling very soft and nourished. I like that they are paraben free, this is not something I usually look for in products as usually products that are paraben free are usually more expensive but this haircare range is really affordable at just under £4 each for the shampoo and conditioner. The also do a variety of different hair oils, dry shampoos and treatments and I like that this range has something for all hair types.

Garnier Pure Active Anti-Blackhead Deep Pore Wash and L'Oreal Triple Active Day Moisturiser
Skincare
My first skincare favourite is the Garnier Pure Active Anti-Blackhead Deep Pore Wash. My skin had an annoying dry patch on my cheek and I tried many products but nothing seemed to clear it except this. It has some little beads in which really helped to exfoliate my skin. This face wash left my skin feeling very soft and I also noticed that my pores were slightly less visible. I have been really enjoying the L'Oreal Triple Active Day Moisturiser I find that this moisturiser is very hydrating. At first glance the cream looks quite thick but it feels very light on the skin and sinks into my skin very quickly. Unlike other moisturisers this one doesn't leave my skin feeling tacky at all.

Maybelline, Seventeen, Collection, Me Me Me and Essie
Makeup
This month I have rediscovered some old favourites. I'd forgotten about my Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze but this month I started using it again and it reminded me of how much I love it. It is perfect to use if you are in a rush and don't have much time to do a full eye makeup look but you still want a hint of colour on your lids. It also works really well as a base for other eyeshadows and it lasts all day. I love the colour of it and I think it is suitable for everyday wear. For the first half of the month I was enjoying using my Seventeen Back Lash Gel Eyeliner to line my upper lash line. I really like this eyeliner as it is a very pigmented black and it dries very quickly so I don't need to worry about it smudging. The only downside to it is that it can fade during the day. My next favourite does not have this problem though. For the second half of the month I have been using the Collection Work The Colour Eyeshadow Pencil in Midnight Glam. This is a black eyeshadow pencil but I have been using it has an eyeliner. This does not budge once you've applied it and it does not fade, it lasts all day. It has a slight shimmer to it so it adds a little something to your eye look. If you are looking for an eyeliner to line your upper lash line I really recommend this. Me next favourite is the Me Me Me Beat the Blues in Pearl Pink this is a cream highlighter which is similar to Benefit's Moonbeam. I really like this highlighter as it gives a really pretty glow to my cheeks and I think it is perfect for summer. My last favourite is a nail polish from Essie it is in the shade A Crewed Interest and it is a gorgeous peach shade that I wore pretty much everyday in June.
