Superdug and Sainsburys Haul

In Sainsburys I picked up a few things. Firstly I picked up Glamour magazine. For those of you who don't know Glamour have teamed up with Benefit to offer three fabulous free gifts. You could choose from Bad Lash mascara, That Gal primer or Porefessional primer. My Sainsburys didn't have the Porefessional primer (yes I was sad enough to look through every Glamour magazine) so I decided to get the primer as I already have a lot of mascaras. I haven't used it yet but I will report back on how good it is. I picked up some nail polish (pretty boring I know) as mine is running out and I don't want to use my entire Bourjois one because it is very difficult to get hold of. I picked up two new things from the Dirty Works range. I already own the facial wipes and the foot butter and I loved them so I thought I'd try some of their other stuff. I bought the body lotion and body spray they smell amazing but I haven't used them yet.

In Superdrug I picked up four things. I got the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation after hearing so many good things about it I decided to purchase it for myself. At the moment you can save £2 instead of being £8.99 it is £6.99. I got mine in the shade Ivory. Next I picked up the MUA BB cream. BB creams are becoming increasingly popular now that summer is here. It offers a light coverage and is an all in one cream that primes, smooths and conceals. Lastly I picked up two Miss Sporty nail polishes as at the moment they are 2 for £2.99 instead of £1.99 each. I picked up Blue Bath and a topcoat called Sparkle Touch it is a gorgeous glitter top coat.

Jubilee ELF Haul

I ordered from Elf again (opps) this time they had three offers to choose from: free delivery, 30% off or a goody bag. I choose the goody bag as I wasn't going to buy too much so I wouldn't qualify for the 30% off.

I started by ordering 2 brushes both from the studio range. The eyeshadow brush and the concealer brush. You can never have too many eyeshadow brushes and the brushes from ELF are so reasonably priced its unreal. I needed a new concealer brush as the one I got in the 10 piece set was way too small to blend in concealer.

I am a big fan of the ELF matte lip colours. I already own one in the shade tea rose so I ordered this one in the shade natural. They are so easy to apply and the colours are beautiful. I find them easier to apply than lipsticks.

I bought 2 lipsticks because I am a little lipstick mad. I love lipsticks and they are the one thing that I wear every day. I bought the shades Classy and Gypsy. I love the ELF lipsticks they are such a great price and are really pigmented also as an added bonus they smell really nice.

The last thing that I ordered was a brightening eye colour in the shade Nymph Dreams. I have a lot of brown shades and this was still a neutral palette but had some other colours that weren't brown. For £1.50 you get 4 eye shadows (bargain)

Now onto the goody bag I got three items a beauty book(£6) the neutral eye edition, a nail polish (£2.50) in the shade light red and an all over colour stick (£1.50) in the shade toasted. I love the concept of these as you can use it on your eyes, face or lips however the colour is not one that I would have chosen but I am still really happy with my order and look forward to trying the products.

How To Make Eyelid Primer

This post is going to be a tutorial on how to make eyelid primer as some primers are just so expensive and this is a cheap and easy alternative which is made using things that most people will have and if you don't you could easily get them.
What you will need

So you will need some foundation, body butter, cotton buds and a pot to put your primer in.

I am using an old body butter pot to put the primer in so firstly you need to make sure that your pot is clean. If it had any sort of product in it should come out when you wash it.

1. Start by squirting some foundation into the pot

2. Then add some body butter to the foundation

 3. Using the cotton bud mix the body butter and foundation together until it is all blended together and you are finished and can use it before applying eyeshadow.
Eyeshadow used for this swatch is an eyeshadow by Miss Sporty in the shade Night
Here is a swatch to prove how good it is. the top swatch is without the primer and the top swatch is after the primer.

Products used and where to get them

May Favourites

I can't believe that it is June already May seemed to go by really quickly. I'm half way through my GCSEs and I can't wait for them to be over.

I'll talk about my non beauty item first. It is the Hunger Games book. I haven't been reading for a while because I've been revising for my exams but I recently picked up the first book in this trilogy and I loved it I will be going out to get the others and as soon as it comes out on DVD I'll be getting that as well.

Next is the foot butter by Dirty Works. Dirty Works is a range exclusive to Sainsburys. I love the smell of this it contains coconut oil and shea butter. It leaves my feet smelling and feeling great which is good as the weather has been nicer so I've been wearing more flip flops. I believe that it is on offer at the moment it is usually £2.99 which is a great price but now it is £1.34.

Next is a nail polish by Miss Sporty called Grape Fit. It is the perfect lilac colour. I love most of the Miss Sporty nail polishes as they are really good value and go quite well only two or three coats needed.  At £1.99 they are great value and at Superdrug at the moment they have 3 for 2 across all cosmetics which is an even better reason to go and check it out.

The net product is a lip balm by Softlips in the flavour French vanilla. I love lip balms as I get quite dry lips so it is important that I have a good lip balm. I love this lip balm it smells amazing and it really moisturises my lips. It also has SPF 20 which is great for summer and gives the lips added protection.

Concealer is a must have and I'm always trying out different ones. This month I have tried the 2true 3 in 1 concealer and I have loved it. The reason I got this was I wanted to try the collection 2000 one but they didn't have my shade in stock so I got this instead. This is a really good concealer especially if you are on a budget.

This is a swatch of the Rimmel London trio eyeshadow in the shade Lynx . I love all three colours but the two brown colours are my favourites. I got this from a beauty outlet store for £1.99 instead of £4.99. I don't think you can get it in Boots or Superdurg anymore as I couldn't find it on their websites but it should be on ebay.

The last product is a lipstick by MUA in shade 6. I love the colour and it lasts quite along time. I have been really surprised by MUA as a whole make up range I own quite a few of their things and I haven't been disappointed. For those of you who don't know MUA is a range of makeup exclusive to Superdrug it is really great value. Most of their items are either £1 or £2 and the products are really great quality.

What have been your favourites this month?
