Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer Review- New Holy Grail Concealer

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
I am so late on the bandwagon with this that it is almost unbelievable that up until a few months ago I had not tried the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (I am as shocked as you are). I don't know why I'd never tried this before as I'd only ever heard good reviews of it.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
I chose the shade fair which is the lightest one I believe that there are 3 shades to choose from and it cost me £4.19.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
The packaging is very simple it has a doe foot applicator. The only issue I have with the packaging is that the black writing smudges off.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
This is my new favourite concealer the coverage it offers is amazing. This completely covers my dark circles and blemishes. It blends really well and it doesn't look cakey on my face. I have been using this everyday for the past month and I can safely say it has become a staple in my routine. The consistency is quite thick so some people may not like this but I really like it. I find that this is long lasting and lasts me through school sometimes I do touch up under my eyes with the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer to add some brightness under my eyes.

If you haven't tried this yet then I truly recommend it.

What's In My School Bag

Today I thought I would share with you what is in my school bag. Firstly I want to apologise for the terrible lighting in these photos it has been so grey these past through days that I have struggled to take photos.
I got my bag from BHS and I really like it. It is simple and big enough to hold all the things. It has a handy strap so I can carry it on my shoulders.  It was very reasonably priced at £25.
So I wanted to share with you the folders I use. These don't fit in my bag so I carry them. The notebook is from Sainsburys and the plain pink folder is from Wilkinsons and the other folders are from Tesco.
These are the school books that I carry. I have 2 for geography as I have different teachers, my business book and my planner which I use to keep track of my homework. I also have an EPQ companion which I am going this year. It is an extra qualification and you can choose a subject to research and then you have to write about your findings.
This is just the general bits and bobs that I carry with me. My pencil case matches my notebook and it it from Sainsburys. I carry around a packet of tissues as you never know when you may need them. I always carry my umbrella as I walk to school and I don't want to get wet if it rains. My Ipad and Ipod cases are both from Amazon. I then have my phone, polos, keys, memory stick and some hair bobbles.
Next is my makeup bag which I got from Primark for £3. Now I'll share with you what's inside my bag.
I carry my W7 blush brush which I use to apply my Maybelline Fit Me powder. Sometimes I use the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer to do touch ups and brighten my eyes. I love to wear my Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey as it is the perfect natural colour for my lips. I also take my Maybelline Baby Lips with me as it adds a nice tint and moisturises my lips as well. I also carry my nail file with me.
In the last section of my makeup bag I carry a mini hairbrush, my Soap and Glory Hand Food and Hand Maid. I also have the Dirty Works Body Spray which smells lovely and is great for touch ups. I also have a few spare hair bobbles.

I hope you enjoyed this post

Liebster Award #6

I was nominated again for the liebster award by Maya from Big Beauty Bag. Now has I have already been nominated for this award I won't be nominating any new people but I will still answer Maya's questions as hopefully you'll find the answers interesting.

1. When did you first get into fashion/beauty?
I'd say I've always been quite girly but I didn't start using makeup until I was about 13 and I probably started getting into fashion when I was 14.

2. What's your favourite beverage?I really like Nescafe's vanilla lattes or diet coke.

3. What is your favourite song at the moment?I am loving Katy Perry's new song Roar, Olly Murs Dear Darlin and Passenger Let Her Go.

4. What is your favourite makeup item to shop for?I love buying lipsticks or nail polishes and sometimes I go through phases of buying lots of eye products it depends what mood I'm in.

5. Heels or flats?
I am a sucker for comfy shoes so I often wear flats I can't stand  having sore feet.

6. Lipstick or lipgloss?
Lipstick I just find lipgloss too sticky although I do love the Revlon Colourburst lipglosses.

7. Who is your biggest celebrity crush?
Probably Ian Sommerholder who plays Damon in Vampire Diaries.

8. If your life were made into a movie, who would you want to play you?
This is hard, I'd say either Lucy Hale or Mila Kunis even though they look nothing like me :)

9. What is your favourite month of the year?I like December because it's Christmas and I love that time of year or July as it's the summer holidays.

10. Do you like scary movies?
I like them as long as they aren't too scary. I've seen Woman in Black which is really good and I like horror films that have a comedy element to them such as Scream and the Final Destination series.

Thank you to Maya for nominating me and I hope you enjoyed reading my answers.

NOTD: Neon Art Shattered

A few weeks I shared with you an NOTD using Collection's Neon Art. It is a lovely vibrant pink colour and I thought it would work perfectly with the OPI Black Shatter. I never used to be a fan of textured nails I used to prefer a glossy shiny colour but recently I have been loving the shattered effect. I picked up a few of the OPI shatters from poundland

I think these two work really well together and they lasted a really long time as well. I got at lot of comments when I wore this as well so you know it's a winner when people comment on it.

August Empties

Today I am sharing with you my August empties. I know that it is late but I still wanted to share them with you before September as otherwise if I combined both months the post would be far too long.
I was so upset when I finished my Soap and Glory Daily Smooth Body Butter. I really loved this, it smelt amazing and it sank into my skin really quickly. This was really moisturising and I would definitely pick it up again. The next think is the Lancome La Vie Est Belle Shower Gel which I got in a set with the perfume. This was really nice and had a nice smell but I wouldn't get it again because £28 is quite expensive for a shower gel.

I really like this Elegant Touch nail polish remover it is one of my favourites as it is really good at removing my nail polish. Although this is slightly more expensive than supermarket own but I think it is worth it because it removes nail polish really well. Next item is the ELF Eyelid Primer which is a great primer, it makes eyeshadow last longer. The only problem is that you have to order it online and its not worth making an order for an item that only costs £1.50 but I will order it next time I make an order.

I used up the Clean & Clear Morning Energy Face Wash I really liked this as it was very refreshing and woke me up in the morning. It had little beads in which exfoliated the skin but it wasn't too harsh. Lastly is the Simple Kind To Eyes Eyemakeup Remover I like this because it is gentle on my eyes and removes makeup really well even waterproof mascara.

ELF Baked Eyeshadow in Bark

ELF Baked Eyeshadow in Bark
I wanted to share this amazing bargain with you. It is the ELF Baked Eyeshadow in Bark. This is one of the best single eyeshadows that I have ever tried.

ELF Baked Eyeshadow in Bark
I saw a couple of reviews and after seeing swatches I knew I had to try one. I chose the shade Bark as it is a beautiful bronze colour. The packaging is very simple it is a small circle compact but the packaging feels very sturdy.

ELF Baked Eyeshadow in Bark
Now onto the shade you can that it is a beautiful bronze shimmer shade. It is a baked eyeshadow so you can use this wet or dry. I personally use it dry because the pigmentation is so amazing that you don't need to use it wet.
ELF Baked Eyeshadow in Bark
You can see from the above swatch just how pigmented it is. This eyeshadow is so soft and easy to apply. It blends like a dream and you can get away without using a primer. This is slightly more expensive than the MUA single eyeshadows but they are still affordable and the quality is amazing. I have worn this shade by itself but I have also paired it with my Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze. I have also worn it with a plum colour running through the crease which looks lovely and is the perfect combination for autumn/winter.

I cannot recommend this eyeshadow enough it is pigmented, long lasting and there is barely any fall out.

Summary
Product: ELF Baked Eyeshadow
Price: £3.75
Shades: Bark, Enchanted, Pixie, Toasted, Burnt Plum and Dusk
Where to buy: eyelipsface.co.uk
Score (/10) 9

Weekly Summary #6

Once again it has been another tiring week. I have so much work to do for school it is unbelievable. I do struggle at times to reply to comments straight away but I want you all to know that I will reply to your comments it just won't be straight away. This year is a very important year at school as it is my last one so I am making sure that I work hard to achieve the best possible grades. Also I wanted to mention that I have booked my theory test. I started driving a few months ago and although I hate it I know it is something that I will need later on. The unfortunate part is that I am quite good at the theory as I am good at remembering information but I am really bad at the actual driving side of things.

I want to welcome all my newest followers that I have recently got and I remind you of my promise that when I get to 200 followers I will be holding a giveaway. I would love to hear what you would like to see as the prize please bear in mind that I have a small budget.

Once again I want to thank all my local readers and I have plenty of posts planned for you this week so stay tuned for those. If you have any requests let me know as I am always open to suggestions.

Maybelline Baby Lips Worth The Hype?

When these launched in the UK the beauty world went crazy after years of watching and reading US bloggers rave about these it was time for us to try them in the UK. Now I was a bit sceptical about these I thought that they wouldn't live up to the hype and that they would be a waste of money. I'd previously tried the Miss Sporty version the Dr Balms and I hated them so I didn't have much hope for these. I decided that I would only get one if they were in my Boots or Superdrug and usually they don't have much stock so I was expecting them to have them but when they did I decided on Cherry Me.
Maybelline Baby Lips
Firstly lets talk about the packaging, I love it. The packaging is fun and colourful so is very nice to have in my collection. The bright colours make it stand out in my collection and also makes it easier to find in my handbag.

Maybelline Baby Lips
The promise of 8 hours moisturise is false I'd say it gives around 2 hours before I feel the need to reapply which is quite good for a lip balm. It does make my lips feel really soft which is good as I thought that it might be drying but it isn't.
Maybelline Baby Lips

Maybelline Baby Lips

Maybelline Baby Lips
The tint is quite sheer and it adds a nice tint to the lips. I have been wearing this a lot at school because it is easy to wear and it isn't noticeable that you need to reapply as sometimes it is difficult to reapply a lipstick whilst I'm at school. I love the scent of this it smells yummy and I have loved using this. That being said I don't think you need to buy all 6. If I was to get another one I would get one of the clear ones as these contain SPF15 but the tinted ones don't which I find slightly annoying as I want SPF in my lip balm so that it helps protect my lips. These are very affordable and I recommend trying them and if you don't like them then you haven't lost too much money.

Maybelline Baby Lips
Overall I really like this product but I would not go out of my way to buy the others in the range.
Summary
Product: Maybelline Baby Lips
Price: £2.99
Shades: Hydrate (blue), Intense Care (yellow), Mint Fresh (green), Cherry Me (orange), Pink Punch (pink) Peach Kiss (purple)
Where to buy: Boots and Superdrug
Score (/10) 7

MUA Poptastic Palette Review

MUA Poptastic Palette
I really want to be a makeup artist when I am older so I have been building up my portfolio by creating different looks on my friends and family. When I was looking through my makeup to find products to use for a look that I was creating I found that I didn't have any coloured eyeshadows so I went to Superdrug to see if I could get some colours. I headed straight to the MUA stand as I knew I'd be able to get a palette for £4. I chose the Poptastic palette as it has a good range of colours.
MUA Poptastic Palette

MUA Poptastic Palette
I have a few MUA palette and they are really good quality. For me personally I won't use this palette on myself regularly because I love to wear neutral colours but if you are a budding makeup artist or you like bold colours then this is perfect to have in your collection and a £4 it is a complete bargain.
MUA Poptastic Palette
All the colours are really well pigmented and most of them are shimmery colours. They are really long lasting and if you use a primer the colours don't fade through the day. All the colours are really easy to blend and they are great to work with. They do have fallout but can be easily swept off the face with a brush. The only issue that I have with the palette is that there is a few to many blue shades it would have been nice to see more of a variety in colours and if you prefer matte shades this palette won't be for you as it has only shimmer shades.

I really recommend  this palette as it is great value for money and it is good to have in your kit as you can create a variety of different looks.

Summary
Product: MUA Poptastic Palette
Price: £4
Shades: 12 shimmer shades in a variety of colours
Where can you buy it: Superdrug and MUA Store
Score (/10) 7

Weekly Summary #5

This week has been really tiring as I went back to school and it has been so exhausting. I have struggled to post this week but I now have a proper schedule which I am going to try and stick to. I am going to post Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday as that gives me a couple of days off and then I'm not pressured to write posts for everyday. I love blogging but it does take a lot of time and when you have school or a job it is hard to stay on top of it. This year is my last year at school and although I'm not planning on going to university I still want to get good grades which will mean lots of  hard work so at times I won't be able to post. I'm sure you all understand this and I want to thank you for reading and commenting on my posts it means a lot.

What have you been up to this week?

NOTD: Neon Art

NOTD: Collection Neon Art
I got this polish free as Boots had an offer if you spent £4 you got a free polish. I chose Neon Art as I love pink polishes. Collection's nail polishes are really lovely they have a nice wide brush which makes it easy to apply. They dry really quickly and they last a long time as well. They are very affordable at only £1.99 a bottle.

NOTD: Collection Neon Art

NOTD: Collection Neon Art
I love the colour of this polish it is a bright pink and it looks really glossy on my nails. It has lasted me 5 days which is really good. I love the colour as it compliments my skin tone and I love how easy it was to apply it only needed 2 coats and it wasn't streaky.

What have you got on your nails right now?

August Favourites

It's that time again to share with you my favourites. This month has gone by so quickly and I'm back to school on Wednesday which I'm not looking forward to as I'll have to get up early.
So to start with I have been loving the Maybelline Fit Me Powder  this is a great powder as it is very fine so it sets foundation wonderfully and doesn't look cakey or powdery. I have been using this everyday and I love it. Next is another product from Maybelline it is the Baby Lips in Cherry Me I have been using this on days when I've not been wearing much makeup. This works really well at adding a light tint to my lips and I was quite surprised by this product as I expected that it wouldn't live up to the hype but it does. My next favourite is my Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeliner in Nude   I love to wear this in my waterline as it brightens up my eyes. It makes a nice change from black as sometimes black can be a little too heavy on my eyes. I have been loving the winged eyeliner look this month and to create it I have been using the Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner I really love it as it is very black and is easy to apply. My last favourite is the much blogged about the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer I am very late on the bandwagon but I love this concealer it is perfect at covering my dark circles and I wish I'd tried it sooner.

What have you been loving this month?
