Balance Me Pure Skin Face Wash Review

Balance Me Pure Skin Face Wash
I have tried quite a few different Balance Me products and I really quite like them. I only ever pick them up when they are in magazines as they can be quite expensive for me. All the Balance Me products use natural ingredients and they are free from any nasty ingredients.

Balance Me Pure Skin Face Wash
Today I am going to be reviewing the Pure Skin Face Wash which has a 98.8% natural origin. I use this both in the morning and evening. I apply a small amount to my hands and blend it into my skin and then I rinse it off with warm water. You can also use this to take off your makeup which I do if I am travelling however if I am at home then I use my hot cloth cleanser. This leaves my skin feeling very fresh and clean. It has got quite a strong smell which may put some people off, but I don’t really mind it too much. This is a good face wash and it isn’t too bad at removing makeup although I do prefer to use a hot cloth cleanser. I’m not sure whether I would spend the full price on this as it is very expensive (£16) if I was going to splash out on skincare it would be for a moisturiser or an eye cream, not a face wash.

Glamour Magazine Freebies (April 2015)

Glamour Magazine Freebie (April 2015)
This month Glamour Magazine are giving away Balance Me goodies in their magazine. I have tried quite a few different things from Balance Me in the past and I really like their products although they are a bit out of my price range. Getting them is a perfect way to try the products out as although they are sample sizes they are decent sizes and they are great to use if you travel a lot.

Glamour Magazine Freebie (April 2015)
This month the freebies include the Super Moisturising Body Wash, Shine On Tinted Lip Salve, Radiance Face Mask and the Pure Skin Face Wash. I have picked up the body wash as I am always interested in body washes that claim to be moisturising. I also got the face mask as I love trying out new face masks as they are a great way to treat your skin. I’ve already got the face wash and  although I like it I have quite a lot of face washes at the moment so I thought I would give it a miss. I wasn’t really that interested in the lip salve either as I love my Nivea Lip Balms and the Body Shop Lip Butters that I don’t really want to try anything else.

The magazine retails for £2 and the products have a total worth of £41 so you are getting a great bargain.

Will you be picking up anything?

Balance Me Moisture Rich Face Cream Review

Balance Me Moisture Rich Moisturiser
I got this in a magazine quite a while ago now. I always pick up the magazine freebies as I like to have mini skincare items to use when I'm travelling. During August I went away and I got to use some of my mini skincare items. This was one of the items I used and I thought I would share my thoughts on it with you. I have previously used the Balance Me Face Moisturiser  so I was interested to see if this as any different.

Balance Me Moisture Rich Moisturiser
I was expecting this  to be a thick cream however it wasn't as thick as I was expecting. However I find this cream to be very moisturising.  Balance Me is a natural skincare brand and although this isn't always something I look for in skincare products it is good to know that this product doesn't use any harmful ingredients. This cream isn't too thick so it doesn't feel that it is clogging your skin which you can sometimes get with thicker creams. The Balance Me range all seems to smell very similar, it has a light floral smell which doesn't really bother me but it might bother you if you have sensitive skin. This cream is easy to blend into your skin and it sinks in very quickly. It doesn't feel greasy or sticky on my skin like some thicker moisturisers do.  I have been reaching for this more now that the weather is getting cooler.

Overall I like this moisturiser but I probably wouldn't repurchase it because I can't really afford to spend £24 on a moisturiser right now but I would consider it in the future.

Have you tried this? What's your favourite Balance Me product?

Magazine Freebies (August 2013)

This month magazines are on fire with their freebies. There are tons to pick up and hopefully there is something for everyone.
Instyle
Instyle
They are giving away a small Rituals Volume Mascara in Perfection. I love mascaras I am somewhat of an addict as I am always buying them to try and find the best one. This one is a small 3.5ml sample which will be great for travelling.

Cosmopolitan

They are giving away some Nip + Fab products. You have a choice from the Dry Legs Fix, Bust Fix and 365 Body Glow Fix. The dry legs fix was the only one that appealed to me and I can't wait to try it out. It smells really nice as well.

Glamour

I love Glamour magazine they seem to team up with the best brands. This month it is Balance Me I was so excited as they had some products last year and I loved the moisturiser that I got. This time you can chose from the Super Toning Body Wash, Shine On Tinted Lip Salve, Pure Skin Face Wash and Moisture Rich Face Cream.  I picked up everything as the magazine only costs £2 so you are getting 4 products for £8 which is less than what the products are worth so it is a good deal.

Marie Claire

I was happy to see Eyeko Liquid Eyeliner as I am on the hunt for a good one as I have the MUA one but I'm not a massive fan so I will see how this goes. If you have any recommendations let me know.

Harper's Bazaar

Lastly is a free sample jar of the L'Occitane En Provence Precious Cream I love this brand as I have tried a couple of their hand creams so it will be interesting to try some of their other products.

Have you picked up any freebies this month?

March Empties

This month I have used quite a few products and I wanted to share them with you.

March Empties Skincare

Kleenex facial cleansing wipes £2.99
These weren't the best wipes I'd ever used. Although they were soft they didn't remove makeup particularly well especially eye makeup. On a plus side they did stay moist unlike some wipes I've used in the past.

Would I repurchase? Probably not

Soft lips French vanilla lip balm £1.85
I really liked this not only does it smell of vanilla (my favourite scent) it also moisturised my lips. It did tingle which I don't mind but some people will hate that. I think this is an American brand and over there they do many different flavours but I've only ever seen vanilla in the UK. When I went to my local Superdrug to repurchase it they didn't have it so I ended up getting a Nivea one instead.
Would I repurchase? Yes (If I can find it)

Balance me balancing face moisturiser £24 (full size)
I really liked this moisturiser. It left my skin feeling soft and smooth. Also it was 99% organic which is really good. It had a really nice smell to it as well. I wish it wasn't so expensive otherwise I would repurchase it. If you want more detail about this product you can read my review here.
Would I repurchase? Yes

Witch blemish stick £2.89
I love this it is great for removing spots. This is a must for treating spots as it works so well in making them go away. I have already repurchased this as it is so good. For more information you can read my review here.
Would I repurchase? Yes

March Empties Bathcare
Botanics skin toning body wash (discontinued)
I didn't particularly like this it had a herbal smell which I didn't like. Also I didn't notice any skin toning effects.

Baylis and Harding peony white tea and jasmine body wash and body lotion (from a gift set)
I liked the body wash it smelt really nice and it lathered up really well. The body lotion was alright although it was really difficult to get out the bottle.
March Empties Haircare

Pantene hair mask £4.69
I really like this hair mask it leaves my hair feeling really soft and smooth. I use this about once a week. It smells really good and I've already repurchased it.
Would I repurchase? Yes

Updated Skincare Routine #2

In the morning I wash my face with the Neutrogena grapefruit face wash. When I first got this I found the smell to be too strong but now I really like it. I then use the Nivea cleanser and toner from their daily essentials range. I really like this as it is very moisturising. The moisturiser that I am using that the moment is the radiance moisturiser from Along Came Betty. I love this as it smells really nice and it wakes my skin up.

In the evening I use my vitamin e hot cloth cleanser to remove my makeup. I really like this as it removes makeup really well. I them use my botanics toning spray to remove anything that the cleanser hasn't removed. This is really refreshing and in the summer I spray it throughout the day. I am using the balance me moisturiser at the moment and I really like it. It is really moisturising and it is made from natural ingredients.

Once a week I will use a face mask and scrub. At the moment I am really liking the face mask from Superdrug's simply pure range. My skin feels really soft after I use this. The scrub I'm using at the moment is the my skin face scrub. This smells really nice and its too harsh either.

On days when I'm feeling a bit lazy then I won't use my hot cloth cleanser to remove my makeup. I will either use a face wipe or my Garnier makeup remover. The Kleenex wipes are really soft although not the best for removing makeup. I quite like the Garnier makeup remover although it wouldn't be suitable for oily skin types.

When I have spots I will use my witch blemish stick in the morning. This works really well at reducing the spots. In the evening I will use the clean and clear dual action moisturiser. I put a blob of it on my spot and let it sink in. This works really well at reducing spots.
