L'Oreal Triple Active Day Moisturiser Review

L'Oreal Triple Active Day Moisturiser
I got this last Christmas in a set with the Micellar Water as it was cheaper to get the set than buy the Micellar Water by itself. I have only recently started to use this moisturiser. I think I have been using for the past couple of months now so I thought now I can share with you what I think of this moisturiser. I haven't tried that much from the L'Oreal skincare line as a lot of their products are out of my price range but this isn't too badly priced at £6.49 which makes it one of their more affordable items.

L'Oreal Triple Active Day Moisturiser
This particular moisturiser is aimed towards dry and sensitive skin but I believe they do one for other skin types as well. The moisturiser is called triple action because it claims to do 3 things: Hydrate, protect and provide comfort. Although this is a day cream I use it as a night cream as I find that this is just a bit too heavy for me to use in the day time.

The moisturiser comes in a really nice pot that feels very luxurious as it is very heavy. I am not sure what material it is made from but it is not plastic which makes it seem like it is more expensive.

The cream is quite a thick cream and for me I find it a bit to heavy to use as a day cream. In the morning I prefer to use a lighter cream. But as a night  cream this is really good. I feel that it is very moisturising on my skin and sinks in quite quickly as well so my face isn't left feeling sticky. When I wake up in the morning my skin feels very smooth and moisturised. This moisturiser has a faint smell, which doesn't bother me but if you have sensitive skin it could be an issue. I find it a bit odd that it is scented considering this particular moisturiser is aimed towards people with dry and sensitive skin.

Overall I quite like this moisturiser. I don't know whether I would go out of my way to repurchase it as there are other moisturisers that I prefer to use but this one is still pretty nice.

Have you tried this? What do you think?

Nivea In Shower Body Moisturiser Review

Nivea In Shower Body Moisturiser
This seems like such a strange product but one that I was in desperate need of. I could list you many reason why I forget to moisturise my skin such as I'm too busy or don't have time but the matter is that I am too lazy to do it. I do not like having to wait for a product to sink and so I just don't use a moisturiser. Admittedly I have been getting better at this these past few months as my  stock of body butters and lotions was overflowing my cupboard and I vowed to start using them. I have been doing this but I do have tendencies to slip back into my old lazy ways and this is where this product comes in.

Nivea In Shower Body Moisturiser This is the Nivea In Shower Body Moisturiser, I remember reading posts about this thinking it was a weird product. You apply it whilst in the shower and then rinse it off and it is supposed to moisturise your skin which seems strange as you are washing the product off. Even though I didn't have high hopes for this I thought it was still worth a try as it could be a life saving product. Is it? I think it is as you apply it whilst in the shower as if it was a shower gel and when you step out of the shower your skin is instantly smooth. I love this as you no longer have to wait for a product to sink into your skin as you use it has part of your shower routine. This product has saved me so much time and leaves my skin so smooth which is essential for summer. I got the one for normal skin but they also do one for dry skin so there is something for everyone which is what I love about Nivea as they try to cater for all skin types.

I think this product is a must if you are lazy like me and as it is summer now and you want soft skin this is a fast and easy way to get it.

Botanics Ultra Calm Skin Calming Night Cream Review

Botanics Ultra Calm Skin Calming Night Cream
Currently £4.49 (usually £6.99)

Botanics Ultra Calm Skin Calming Night Cream
I got this quite awhile ago and have been using it for well over a month. I bought this because i had a voucher were if I bought any Botanics product I got an extra 100 points on my Boots card and as I needed a new night cream I choice this one. I love this night cream it is so moisturising and my skin seems to love it. This is aimed at people with sensitive skin I don't particularly have sensitive skin but it works really well for me. This has calming marshmallow in it which is meant to sooth the skin which it does also it smells really nice and the smell is quite relaxing so it makes it lovely to wear before going to bed. This moisturiser isn't too heavy but isn't really light either which makes it perfect for me as I hate really thick creams. I really like this moisturiser as it sinks in really quickly and my skin still feels moisturised in the morning. The packaging is quite cheap looking as it is just a plastic pot with a sticker on it but for the price you pay it isn't too bad. You get a lot of product in the pot and a little goes along way so I think it will last quite awhile. All Botanics products contain plant extracts which are good for your skin I love the Botanics range I have tried their spray toner which I really like. Next time your in Boots I recommend you try out the Botanics range and as it is on 1/2 at the moment it is an even better opportunity to try it out.

Along Came Betty Glow On Moisturiser Review

Along Came Betty moisturiser box
Where can you buy it: Tesco
Price: £5.99

What Tesco says "This Along Came Betty Glow On radiance moisturiser is enriched with oat extract that instantly tightens for firmer looking skin. The face moisturiser contains apricot which nourishes, for a super soft feel. They'll all be saying: "did a moon beam kiss your face?"
Along Came Betty

My opinion
I bought this when it was first bought out and was only £2.99. I love the Along Came Betty range it is Tesco's answer to Soap and Glory and I have to say the products are just as good as Soap and Glory. I really like the body scrub and I have since tried the bubble bath. This moisturiser smells amazing and is really moisturising. I particularly like this because it really wakes up my skin. It works really well with the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer and foundation. It smells of apricots and I think that is perfect for waking you up in the morning. As the name suggests it does give your skin a glow which looks really nice and healthy. This is so moisturising and you don't need a lot of it to cover your face.

Updated Skincare Routine #2

In the morning I wash my face with the Neutrogena grapefruit face wash. When I first got this I found the smell to be too strong but now I really like it. I then use the Nivea cleanser and toner from their daily essentials range. I really like this as it is very moisturising. The moisturiser that I am using that the moment is the radiance moisturiser from Along Came Betty. I love this as it smells really nice and it wakes my skin up.

In the evening I use my vitamin e hot cloth cleanser to remove my makeup. I really like this as it removes makeup really well. I them use my botanics toning spray to remove anything that the cleanser hasn't removed. This is really refreshing and in the summer I spray it throughout the day. I am using the balance me moisturiser at the moment and I really like it. It is really moisturising and it is made from natural ingredients.

Once a week I will use a face mask and scrub. At the moment I am really liking the face mask from Superdrug's simply pure range. My skin feels really soft after I use this. The scrub I'm using at the moment is the my skin face scrub. This smells really nice and its too harsh either.

On days when I'm feeling a bit lazy then I won't use my hot cloth cleanser to remove my makeup. I will either use a face wipe or my Garnier makeup remover. The Kleenex wipes are really soft although not the best for removing makeup. I quite like the Garnier makeup remover although it wouldn't be suitable for oily skin types.

When I have spots I will use my witch blemish stick in the morning. This works really well at reducing the spots. In the evening I will use the clean and clear dual action moisturiser. I put a blob of it on my spot and let it sink in. This works really well at reducing spots.

What do you use?
