Origins Gift Set- Mask Marvels

I got this amazing gift set from Boots for just £25. It was on offer and normally this costs £50. This gift set is from Origins which is a skincare brand that I have never tried.

This set comes with 3 of the Orgins face masks. In the set you get Clear Improvement which is a charcoal mask and is meant to clear your pores, Drink Up Intensive which is an overnight mask which hydrates the skin and lastly Out of Trouble which is for problem skin. The masks aren't full size, they are 75ml and the full size ones are 100ml. This was a fantastic deal though as I got 3 masks for the price of one as the full size masks are £23 each. I am looking forward to trying these out and I will be reviewing them as soon as I have tried them out.

Have you tried anything from Origins?

Sanctuary Spa Gift Set- Box of Delights

Sanctuary Spa Gift Set- Box of Delights
This was another one of the Boots Star Gifts. It was originally £45 but I got it on offer for £22. I thought I would share with you what was in it. I love Sanctuary Spa products, the smell amazing and I am addicted to the scent.

Sanctuary Spa Gift Set- Box of Delights
Firstly I want to talk about the packaging this gift set came in a gorgeous box. The lid lifts off and the the box opens out so you can get to the products.

Sanctuary Spa Gift Set- Box of Delights
The first thing I noticed was the Body Butter, I currently have the travel size of this and I absolutely love it. It smells amazing and is really moisturising on my skin.
Sanctuary Spa Gift Set- Box of Delights
Next we have the Foaming Creamy Bath Soak, I can't use this at the moment as at Uni I don't have a bath but I can't wait to use it when I go home. I can think of nothing better than having a bath using this heavenly scented product. I got the Cleansing Burst Body Wash which I can not wait to use in the shower. I have so many shower gels in my shower at the moment but this is going to be lovely. It will be a tough decision to decide whether to use this or the Body Shop Glazed Apple one which I am completely in love with.

Sanctuary Spa Gift Set- Box of Delights
Next we have the Luxury Bath Float, I can see that I will be having a lot of baths when I get home. You also get the Silky Smooth Body Lotion.

Sanctuary Spa Gift Set- Box of Delights
Next I got the Intensive Heel Balm, the Hand Cream and the Radiance Exfoliator. I can't wait to try these out especially the hand and foot cream.

Sanctuary Spa Gift Set- Box of Delights
The last thing I got was the Gentle Polish Body Scrub which I am interested in trying as I love trying different scrubs out and my one from Soap and Glory is nearly empty.

In the gift set there was also a voucher for £2 off their bodycare products which I will certainly be using. I can't wait to use these products as they smell amazing if you have never smelt Sanctuary's products I recommend that you do as they smell fantastic.

Wishlist #15- Christmas Gift Set Edition

Wishlist #15- Christmas Gift Set Edition

One of the things I love about Christmas time is the amazing beauty gift sets that are available. Each year I am blown away by the different sets on offer and I also want to buy the whole of Boots. The gift sets are usually great value for money and they are a great way to try out a variety of products from a brand. Today I thought I would share with you some of my favourite ones available.

First up is the Soap and Glory The Next Big Thing (£60). Each year Soap and Glory release a massive gift set with some of their bestsellers and each year it is one of the Boots Star Gifts so it gets discounted usually to less than half price which is the best time to buy it. Hopefully they will do the same this year as this has some great products in that I really want to try.

Next we have the Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot Box O'Blushes (£29.50), this gift set is amazing value for money it has all the Benefit box blushes in and one boxed blush costs £23.50 so you can get them all for such an amazing price. This would be a great way to try them all out and I will definitely be getting this.

I have fallen in love with Sanctuary Spa all their products smell amazing so I would love to have the Eau De Toilette (£16.50). All the Sanctuary products have a gorgeous scent so I would love to be able to spritz myself with it.

Next is a lovely set from Nails Inc (£42), it is a set of 6 of their gel effect polishes. I am a massive fan of Nails Inc but I have not tried their gel effect polishes but I would really love to try them out as I really like gel effect polishes such as the Barry M Gelly Hi Shine polishes.

As I mentioned above I love the smell of Sanctuary Spa (£18) products I have become what some might called obsessed. This gift set includes 2 diffusers, 2 candles and a room spray. I love the smell so much that I would love to be surrounded by it all the time.

The last gift set is an eyeshadow palette from Soap and Glory (£16). A girl can never have too many neutral palettes can she? I haven't tried too much from the Soap and Glory makeup line and this palette looks really good. I have had my eye on their eyeshadow quads but they are £10 which seems a lot for 4 eyeshadows but £16 for 10 eyeshadows is much better value.

Which gift sets are on your wishlist?

Ted Baker Gift Set- The Girl With The Beautiful Face

Ted Baker Gift Set- The Girl With The Beautiful Face
Today I wanted to share with you this gorgeous gift set from Ted Baker. A couple of weeks ago this was the Boots Star Gift. For those of you who don't know what that means, each week up until Christmas Boots discounts one of their gift sets to usually less than half price and you can get a fantastic deal. The full price of this is £40 but I got it for £19 which is such a good deal I recommend keeping an eye on the Boots website to find out what the Star Gift is each week they also do weekly offers on their gifts sets and you can get some fantastic deals.

Ted Baker Gift Set- The Girl With The Beautiful Face
Firstly I want to talk about the packaging. The packaging is absolutely gorgeous it comes in a gorgeous mint green box with Ted Baker in gold lettering on the top. It is designed like a jewellery box in that the top bit lifts up and there is also a draw which has some of the products in. I think this is really pretty and it is something I am going to keep to use for storing makeup in. I might store my everyday products in it as I think it will look so pretty on my desk.

Ted Baker Gift Set- The Girl With The Beautiful Face
In the top part of the box you get 2 illuminators; a pink one and a golden one. I am looking forward to trying this as I recently got into liquid highlighters so it will interesting to see what these are like. Next is a gorgeous bronzer/blush compact which comes in gorgeous rose gold packaging. This is a gorgeous product that I can't wait to try out. Next is a kabuki brush which has a rose gold handle, I have never used a kabuki brush so I'm looking forward to trying it out. The last 2 things in this section are 2 nail polishes a gorgeous red and a silvery/gold colour which reminds me of Essie's Penny Talk.
Ted Baker Gift Set- The Girl With The Beautiful Face
The bottom section contains eyes and lip products. The first 2 products are lip products, the first one is a lip crayon in a gorgeous wine colour and the lipstick is a pretty red. Next is a pair of rose gold eyelash curlers which I am looking forward to using as they are so pretty. Next we have 2 cream eyeshadows a silver and gold colour which I am looking forward to using as I really like eyeshadow sticks but haven't tried too many (I've only tried the ones from Rimmel and Collection). The last 2 items are a mascara which is always useful to have and a felt liner which I am looking forward to trying as I have recently got back into using them.

I plan to review everything separately so keep your eyes open for those posts.

Have you picked up any bargains from Boots?

Botanics All Bright Toner Review

Botanics All Bright Toner
I bought this toner after seeing it in someone's haul video on Youtube. I have tried a few things from the Botanics range in the past and have been happy with their products so I thought I would give this a try. On a side note I have heard that Botanics have released a Micellar Water so I am very interested in trying that out. Within the Botanics range they have a variety of different ranges that are for different skin types. This is from the All Bright range. I was very interested in a product that claimed to brighten the skin.

One of the main reasons that I bought this is because it is said to be similar to the Pixi Glow Tonic (£16.00), which is quite expensive and very difficult to get hold of. This is a much cheaper alternative (£3.99 normally although it is often on offer) and easy to get hold of as it is sold in Boots. For those of you that haven't heard of the Pixi Glow Tonic, firstly where have you been? Secondly it is a chemical exfoliant which removes the top layer of your skin to reveal fresh new skin. The Pixi Glow Tonic uses natural ingredients and is alcohol free whereas the Botanics one isn't. For me this isn't a major problem but it is something to be aware of as alcohol in skincare products can dry out your skin.

Botanics All Bright Toner

Botanics All Bright Toner
This toner claims to tighten pores, brighten skin and leave skin feeling fresh. I use this toner after I have cleansed my skin. I pour a little bit onto a cotton pad and rub it all over my skin. I haven't really notice it tighten my pores. I have noticed that it removes impurities on my face, even after double cleanser this toner still manages to remove dirt from my face, which is good as it leaves my skin feeling very clean afterwards. My skin definitely feels much fresher after using this but it doesn't feel tight after use unlike some toners. I would recommend moisturising after using it though as the alcohol in it could dry out your skin. I think this toner also helps to brighten up my skin and help it look more healthy

In my opinion the only downside to this product is the smell. It has a floral scent but you can certainly smell the alcohol in it. The smell is not too strong though so it is still usable however if the smell was really strong I don't think I'd be able to use it. I have read that some people like the smell so it is 100% down to personal preference.

Overall I really rate this toner as I can see a difference in my skin after I use it. In the past I have used toners that seem to do very little for my skin so I am glad to have found one that isn't too expensive but I can still see results. I really recommend this toner and the Botanics range in general as they have some really nice products. I have a my eye on a few more products from the All Bright range: the new Micellar Water, the Day and Night Cream and the Cleansing Foam Wash.

Have you tried this toner? Do you have any Botanics recommendations?

Boots Vitamin E Eye Cream Review

Today I am going to be reviewing the Boots Vitamin E eye cream. I have been using this for well over a month now maybe even 2 so I think that I am in a good position to review it now. This is the first eye cream that I have ever tried. I hadn't had one before but I really wanted to try one. This one is very affordable at only £2.54 so even if I didn't like it I knew I wouldn't have wasted much money.
Boots Vitamin E Eye Cream
I quite like this eye cream. It is quite light and isn't greasy under my eyes. I don't have huge dark circles but I do have some dark circles under my eyes and so I wanted to try an eye cream to see if they could be reduced. You get 15ml of product which is quite a lot considering you don't need an awful lot of product. It also has SPF 15 which is always a bonus.

Boots Vitamin E Eye Cream
The formula is very light and non- greasy. It sinks in quite quickly as well. I quite like this eye cream it reduces my dark circles to some extent, they haven't completely disappeared but then I wasn't expecting this cream to do that. This cream is very moisturising however and I find that my concealer goes on a lot better when I use this. This eye cream will last you for quite awhile as you only need a small amount each time you use it. This is a very affordable eye cream that I would recommend if you are starting out with eye creams but if you want something that will dramatically reduce dark circles and puffiness then this isn't for you.

If you want to purchase this you can get from Boots for £2.54.

Have you tried this? Do you have any eye cream recommendations?

Boots Why Must You Sell So Many Pretty Things?

I thought I had already posted this haul but it appears that I haven't. So I thought I would share it with you today.
So after seeing the NYC Nail Polishes on so many blogs I decided to pick them up for myself. The colours look fantastic and from the swatches I have seen the quality is really good considering they are only £1.79. The shades I chose are Blue Sky (although it is a mint green colour) and Spring Tulip. Another colour that featured on many blogs was Raindrop but it looked very similar to Rimmel's Mind The Gap Victoria which I already owned.
I then went into Poundland I picked up a Calvin Klein Tempting Glimmer in Bare Silk these are basically cream eyeshadows and are very similar to the Maybelline Colour Tattoos which I love. I love the colour and I have since picked up another in the shade Cashmere Plum which you will see in another haul soon.
Then lastly in Boots I picked up a few things. After seeing this Revlon lipstick on someone's blog I knew I had to have it. It is from the Super Lustrous range and is in the shade Pink In The Afternoon (415). It is a gorgeous nude shade which is great for everyday wear. I picked up another Collection Work The Colour Eyeshadow Stick as I already had Vanilla Sky and really liked it so I picked up Vintage Blush. The last thing I picked up was a lipstick from Natural Collection. I have only tried a few products from this brand and I have really liked them especially the blush. Again this was another product that I saw on someone's blog it is in the shade Raspberry which is a subtle red and it is the perfect colour for autumn/winter.

What I can summarise from this is that reading other people's blogs is bad for my purse as I always find too many nice things that I want.

I am sorry this haul is quite late as I bought these items quite awhile ago but I could have sworn I had posted it. Look out for another haul soon as I am going away for a few days and I am bound to buy some more things.

What have you bought this week? Any recommendations?

September Favourites

Today I am sharing with you my September favourites. I didn't use many different products this month so I only have a few favourites to share with you. I have been loving using the Seventeen Back Lash Eyeliner to tightline my eyes as this makes my lashes look fuller and longer. This is very easy to use and it stays put all day and it is really creamy as well. I have been loving the Collection Work The Colour Eyeshadow Pencils as they are so quick and easy to apply in the morning. I have the shade Vintage Blush and Vanilla Sky. They blend really easy and they stay put throughout the day. Lastly is the Boots Vitamin E Eye Cream I love the formula of this it is light and blends in easily. I noticed a reduction in my dark circles within a few days.

What have you been loving this month?

I've Been Shopping Again...

So as the title suggests I have been shopping again. I went to Banbury and I did a little bit of shopping as I had a few things that I wanted to get.
Barry M gelly Hi Shine, Rimmel 60 Seconds and Collection felt liner
In Boots I bought a few things. I picked up more of the Barry M Gelly Hi Shine polishes as I love them. After trying Greenberry I have since bought 4 other colours and I plan to get more. At the moment Boots has a great offer because these are buy one get one half price so it would be rude not to pick up some new colours. The shades I got were Grapefruit and Guava. I also picked up a Rimmel London 60 Seconds polish, I saw this on Alice's blog (Bright Town Girl) and I loved the colour and I knew I had to have it. I also picked up the Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner as I've been loving my winged eyeliner recently and I needed a new felt liner.
Milani blush and bronzer duos and glimmer stripes
I then went to Poundland as I usually find some great bargains. In my last haul  I showed you a Milani Blush and Bronzer Duo I really like it so I thought I would pick up some more shades I got Sunset City and Sunset Beach. I also spotted this Milani Glimmer Stripes in Pink Glimmer this product can be used on the eyes or cheeks. You can use the colours individually or blended together. I can't wait to try these products as they look so pretty.
Mellor & Russell Hair Oil
I also spotted this Mellor & Russell Hair Oil and I thought it was worth trying as it was only £1. I have tried a few hair oils and I really like them so hopefully this will be ok.

Makeup Sponge
Lastly I picked up another Makeup Sponge from H&M as I love to use them to apply makeup. They are dupe of the Beauty Blender but at a fraction of the price. This one costs just £1.99 so is well worth trying.

What have you bought recently?

May Empties

So it has got to that time again when I share my monthly empties with you. I have used up quite a lot this month so I'm going to crack on and show you what I have used up.
Starting with skincare:
For some reason it takes me ages to use up skincare items but this month I've used up 3. The Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser has been a firm favourite of mine for ages. I was sad to see this go as I loved using it, but it has meant that I can try others in my collection and I am now currently loving the Superdrug Naturally Radiant Hot Cloth Cleanser. I probably wouldn't pick this up again as I'm loving the Naturally Radiant one which I will be doing a full review of soon.
This month I seemed to be using face wipes more and more to take off my makeup as they are so quick and I'm really lazy. These ones from Kleenex are ok, they are quite soft but aren't that good at removing eye makeup.
I got a sample of the Alpha H Liquid Gold a while ago. It was ok but it didn't do anything special so I won't be spending £30 on the full size.

Along Came Betty's Bubble Bath smelt amazing. I loved adding it to my baths and I've already repurchased it.
I loved Soap and Glory's Clean On Me, it smelt amazing and it was quite moisturising as well. I will be buying a full size after I've used up some of my other shower gels.
I really liked the Boots Extracts Range as all the products in the range use fairtrade ingredients. The smell of this was quite nice although it could have been a bit stronger as it was quite faint. I probably would get this again but I'd get a different scent maybe the cocoa butter one.

I didn't particularly like this Sure deodorant, I didn't like the smell and I don't think it really worked very well.
I have so many of these So...? sprays lying around. This wasn't one of my favourite scents so I wouldn't get it again.
I loved this perfume sample of Viktor & Rolf's Flowerbomb. It smelt amazing and I'm considering buying the full size.
I liked this toothpaste, I noticed that it helped whiten my teeth and my breath smell fresher for longer.

What have you used up? Do you have any post requests?

April Empties

This is my April empties, I am trying to do them monthly now as I seem to use products up every month now. Some months however there won't we as much, this month I've used a fair amount of products so lets see what I've used.

I bought this travel size deodorant to use when I went on a trip. It isn't really anything special it smells ok and does an average job. Not much else to say really.
Would I repurchase? No

Impulse body spray Paris (limited edition)
This wasn't my favourite scent from Impulse. Some of their scents are really nice but I didn't particularly like this one.
Would I repurchase? No

Garnier Clean Sensation deodorant (£2 I couldn't find a link online though)
I really like Garnier deodorants I've tried most of them. I liked this one as it had a clean scent to it rather than a heavily floral scent like some of the other deodorants.
Would I repurchase? Yes

Superdrug extra gentle apple detangling spray (don't think they do this any more but L'oreal does one that is similar)
I really liked this as it helped get rid of some of the knots in my hair after I washed it. It made it easier to comb my hair. I wasn't keen on the scent but luckily it didn't linger on the hair.
Would I repurchase? Yes (obviously from a different brand)

I love this I use it ever time I wash my hair. I ran some through the ends of my hair and I noticed a difference in the amount of split ends I had. I definitely recommend this if you want more information you can read my review here.
Would I repurchase? Yes

I wasn't impressed with the smell of this. It claims to be a luxury handwash but it isn't really. I was quite disappointed with this.
Would I repurchase? No

This hand cream was quite runny and I found it to be quite greasy as well. Although looking online it seems that the packaging has changed so perhaps the formula has as well.
Would I repurchase? No

Royal Jelly body wash (part of a gift set)
This was an ok body wash, I wasn't a massive fan of the scent I found that it was quite strong.
Would I repurchase? No

I loved the smell of this and I found that it was quite moisturising. It sank into the skin really quickly as well. I won't be buying this at the moment as I have a lot of other body butters but I may get it in the future.
Would I repurchase? Yes

I loved the smell of this. It smelt so good and it was a really nice body wash.
Would I repurchase? Yes

Real Techniques Starter Set Review

Real Techniques Starter Set
Real Techniques Starter Set
Ever since I got the Core Collection for Christmas I have been lusting after the Starter Set. I was lucky enough to get this for my birthday. I have been using these brushes for a little under a month now and I thought I would review them for you. I have to say that I prefer the Core Collection to this it’s not bad but in my opinion it isn’t as good as the Core Collection.  The starter set is designed for the eyes had has a purple handle whereas the Core Collection is designed for the face and has a gold handle.

Real Techniques Starter Set
There are 5 brushes in this set. The base shadow brush, deluxe crease brush, accent brush, pixel point eyeliner brush and brow brush.  Just like the Core Collection it comes with a handy case that can also be used as a stand.
Base shadow brush

Base shadow brush: I really like this brush; it picks up eyeshadow really well and it blends eyeshadow really well. I also like it because it is super soft.

Deluxe crease brush
Deluxe crease brush:  This is way too big to be a crease brush as it makes the eyeshadow go everywhere rather than just in your crease.  I have heard that people use this for concealer so I will give that a try to see if it works.

Accent brush
Accent brush:  This is great for applying shadow to the inner corners of the eye. It works really well at smudging colours together.

Pixel point eyeliner brush
Pixel point eyeliner brush: I find this brush very easy to use. It is   without being too flexible and I love to use this with my MUA gel eyeliner. The application of it has vastly improved because of this brush.

Brow brush
Brow brush:  The brow brush is great. It is angled which makes it perfect for applying powder to the eyebrow. This has changed the way I do my eyebrows as before I used a pencil but now I have a proper brush I have been using my MUA brow kit.

You can get from Boots(£21.99) but I recommend getting them from Amazon as it is only £17.59 and you can get free delivery.

Have you tried this? What other Real Techniques brushes would you recommend?

Botanics Ultra Calm Skin Calming Night Cream Review

Botanics Ultra Calm Skin Calming Night Cream
Currently £4.49 (usually £6.99)

Botanics Ultra Calm Skin Calming Night Cream
I got this quite awhile ago and have been using it for well over a month. I bought this because i had a voucher were if I bought any Botanics product I got an extra 100 points on my Boots card and as I needed a new night cream I choice this one. I love this night cream it is so moisturising and my skin seems to love it. This is aimed at people with sensitive skin I don't particularly have sensitive skin but it works really well for me. This has calming marshmallow in it which is meant to sooth the skin which it does also it smells really nice and the smell is quite relaxing so it makes it lovely to wear before going to bed. This moisturiser isn't too heavy but isn't really light either which makes it perfect for me as I hate really thick creams. I really like this moisturiser as it sinks in really quickly and my skin still feels moisturised in the morning. The packaging is quite cheap looking as it is just a plastic pot with a sticker on it but for the price you pay it isn't too bad. You get a lot of product in the pot and a little goes along way so I think it will last quite awhile. All Botanics products contain plant extracts which are good for your skin I love the Botanics range I have tried their spray toner which I really like. Next time your in Boots I recommend you try out the Botanics range and as it is on 1/2 at the moment it is an even better opportunity to try it out.

What I Got For My Birthday

On Thursday I celebrated my 17th birthday. I wasn't looking forward to my birthday that much this year as it was the same day that I got my results from my January exams. I thought I would share with you what I got. This is not to show off, I really enjoy adding these posts and I hope you enjoy reading mine. I did get some money and chocolates but I didn't bother photographing those.

I got this lovely jewellery stand for necklaces and earrings. I have been looking for one of these for ages and I'm so glad that I got this. I got a lovely set of earrings and this set has some cute owl earrings in it. I got a gorgeous purple bracelet that looks absolutely beautiful. I also got a purple earring and necklace set that looks really pretty.

I got a set of mini nail files which will be really handy to but in my handbag as whenever I need a nail file I never have one. I got a Rimmel nail polish in the shade Your Majesty. With the Rimmel nail polish I got the MUA Starry Night palette which I'm really excited to try out. I got some Impress nails which I'm looking forward to try as I've been wanting to try them for ages. I got some false eyelashes from Collection and a Bedazzled eyeshadow palette. The shades in the palette are gorgeous. I will be doing reviews as soon as I try them all out.

I got a gorgeous purple purse and a lovely mint green satchel style bag. I got a mini notebook with a pen which will be great for planning blog posts.

My main presents was an acrylic makeup storage. I have been wanting one for ages. This can hold 12 lipsticks and it also has space for mascaras and eyeshadows. I also got the Real Techniques Starter Set which I have been wanting to try since I got the Core Collection for Christmas.

As mentioned at the beginning I got some money for my birthday and I made a fragrance direct order. At the moment they have Dainty Doll products on the website most of them are £1.99. I got a Bourjois eyeshadow in the shade Tabac Blond the packaging of this is so cute. I got Rimmel's match perfection foundation which I'm excited to try this out as I love Rimmel's foundations. I got the Dainty Doll mascara and eyeliner duo in the shade Good Gosh Miss Molly. An eyeshadow in the shade Are You Experienced. A lovely light pink blusher called My Girl and lastly a concealer in the shade Abracadabra 02. The packaging of Dainty Doll products is so cute and I will be reviewing all my purchases soon.
