Boots Why Must You Sell So Many Pretty Things?

I thought I had already posted this haul but it appears that I haven't. So I thought I would share it with you today.
So after seeing the NYC Nail Polishes on so many blogs I decided to pick them up for myself. The colours look fantastic and from the swatches I have seen the quality is really good considering they are only £1.79. The shades I chose are Blue Sky (although it is a mint green colour) and Spring Tulip. Another colour that featured on many blogs was Raindrop but it looked very similar to Rimmel's Mind The Gap Victoria which I already owned.
I then went into Poundland I picked up a Calvin Klein Tempting Glimmer in Bare Silk these are basically cream eyeshadows and are very similar to the Maybelline Colour Tattoos which I love. I love the colour and I have since picked up another in the shade Cashmere Plum which you will see in another haul soon.
Then lastly in Boots I picked up a few things. After seeing this Revlon lipstick on someone's blog I knew I had to have it. It is from the Super Lustrous range and is in the shade Pink In The Afternoon (415). It is a gorgeous nude shade which is great for everyday wear. I picked up another Collection Work The Colour Eyeshadow Stick as I already had Vanilla Sky and really liked it so I picked up Vintage Blush. The last thing I picked up was a lipstick from Natural Collection. I have only tried a few products from this brand and I have really liked them especially the blush. Again this was another product that I saw on someone's blog it is in the shade Raspberry which is a subtle red and it is the perfect colour for autumn/winter.

What I can summarise from this is that reading other people's blogs is bad for my purse as I always find too many nice things that I want.

I am sorry this haul is quite late as I bought these items quite awhile ago but I could have sworn I had posted it. Look out for another haul soon as I am going away for a few days and I am bound to buy some more things.

What have you bought this week? Any recommendations?

Naturally Radiant Renewing Night Cream Review

Naturally Radiant Renewing Night Cream
After trying the hot cloth cleanser from the same range I knew I wanted to try some of the other products in the range. About a month ago I finished my Botanics night cream and I knew I wanted to try the Naturally Radiant one. I have been using it for just over a month now so I wanted to share my opinions with you.
Naturally Radiant Renewing Night Cream
This range from Superdrug uses plant extracts within its products. This particular product has kiwi extract and mulberry extract which helps brighten the skin.  The fruit acids help naturally exfoliate the skin and the sugar beet helps moisturises the skin.
Naturally Radiant Renewing Night Cream
The product has a herbal scent which I believe the whole range has. I quite like the scent but some people may not like the scent although once on your skin the scent does not linger.
Naturally Radiant Renewing Night Cream
The packaging is quite simple it has a lovely colour which all the packaging in the range has. There is 75ml of product which is quite a lot for the price. The full price of the cream is £5.99 but at the moment the Naturally Radiant range is on offer so it is only £2.99 which is a bargain.

Naturally Radiant Renewing Night Cream
The  cream is quite thick but it doesn't feel greasy on my skin. I find that it sinks in really well and when I wake up in the morning my skin feels moisturised and I think it does look more radiant. This product claims to even out skin tone but I haven't noticed that it does this.

Overall I really like this cream and I recommend it as it is very moisturising and leaves my skin feeling very soft.

Have you tried this?

Naturally Radiant Hot Cloth Cleanser Review

Naturally Radiant Hot Cloth Cleanser
When my Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser came to an end on the one hand I was sad because I had really enjoyed using it but on the other hand I was happy as I got to try another hot cloth cleanser to see how it compared. I picked this one up from Superdrug's own range called Naturally Radiant.

Naturally Radiant Hot Cloth Cleanser
I was intrigued by this range as it uses plant extracts which is meant to make the skin softer and more radiant.
I use a hot cloth cleanser to remove my face makeup as I find using it on my eyes is a little too harsh as it uses a muslin cloth to remove the product. This uses kiwi fruit extract  and mulberry fruit extract which helps make the skin appear brighter. The addition of cocoa butter means that it moisturises and softens the skin.

Naturally Radiant Hot Cloth Cleanser
This tube is slightly smaller than the Vitamin E one as it was 200ml and this is only 150ml  and they are both £5.99. I think I slightly prefer this one as it smells nicer than the Vitamin E one. The Vitamin E one didn't have a scent which will suit some people but I prefer products that have a scent.

You use this in exactly the same way as the Vitamin E one. You rub some of the product over your face and neck (I've found that it does remove eye makeup quite well but sometimes the muslin cloth can be a bit too harsh but I have quite sensitive eyes). You then run the muslin cloth under hot water, wring it out and then wipe away the product.

I think that this does make the skin look more radiant and it removes makeup really well. This uses a muslin cloth (which is included when you buy it) which means that it gently exfoliates the skin. The cream is quite thick which I really like as I find that it is quite moisturising.

Overall I think just beats the Vitamin E one but I recommend both of them as they are both really good products. I plan to try some more things from this range as I really like it.

Weekend Wishlist #2

I have so many things on my wishlist at the moment but unfortunately I have no money so I can't get them at the moment. I thought I would share a couple of the things that I am lusting after.

I have seen so many rave reviews about this trio of blushes. All the colours are really pretty and colours that I would wear. Plus I have never tried anything from Sleek before and I would love to try some of their stuff.

I have the foundation and powder from this range (reviews coming shortly) and I quite like them and I have heard good things about the concealer so I really want to try it.

I love the Core Collection and Starter Set and I have been lusting after more brushes for ages and this new collection looks amazing.

In my May Favourites post I mentioned the Naturally Radiant Hot Cloth Cleanser. I love the hot cloth cleanser and really want to try more from the range. The mask really appeals to me as I love using face masks.

I've heard good things about this, it is meant to be good at removing eye makeup and is said to be a dupe for Bioderma which I have yet to try as it is quite difficult to get in the UK.

What is on your wishlist?

May Empties

So it has got to that time again when I share my monthly empties with you. I have used up quite a lot this month so I'm going to crack on and show you what I have used up.
Starting with skincare:
For some reason it takes me ages to use up skincare items but this month I've used up 3. The Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser has been a firm favourite of mine for ages. I was sad to see this go as I loved using it, but it has meant that I can try others in my collection and I am now currently loving the Superdrug Naturally Radiant Hot Cloth Cleanser. I probably wouldn't pick this up again as I'm loving the Naturally Radiant one which I will be doing a full review of soon.
This month I seemed to be using face wipes more and more to take off my makeup as they are so quick and I'm really lazy. These ones from Kleenex are ok, they are quite soft but aren't that good at removing eye makeup.
I got a sample of the Alpha H Liquid Gold a while ago. It was ok but it didn't do anything special so I won't be spending £30 on the full size.

Along Came Betty's Bubble Bath smelt amazing. I loved adding it to my baths and I've already repurchased it.
I loved Soap and Glory's Clean On Me, it smelt amazing and it was quite moisturising as well. I will be buying a full size after I've used up some of my other shower gels.
I really liked the Boots Extracts Range as all the products in the range use fairtrade ingredients. The smell of this was quite nice although it could have been a bit stronger as it was quite faint. I probably would get this again but I'd get a different scent maybe the cocoa butter one.

I didn't particularly like this Sure deodorant, I didn't like the smell and I don't think it really worked very well.
I have so many of these So...? sprays lying around. This wasn't one of my favourite scents so I wouldn't get it again.
I loved this perfume sample of Viktor & Rolf's Flowerbomb. It smelt amazing and I'm considering buying the full size.
I liked this toothpaste, I noticed that it helped whiten my teeth and my breath smell fresher for longer.

What have you used up? Do you have any post requests?

May Favourites

Although I am taking a break from blogging whilst I revise for my AS exams, I wanted to do my May favourites as I never missed a favourites post before in the whole year that I have been blogging. After Wednesday I will be back to blogging full time, to make up for my lack of posts I will try and blog everyday. I want to thank you for staying with me and  my blog over this very busy and stressful time. So on with my favourites.

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Hot Cloth Cleanser
I loved the Vitamin E hot cloth cleanser from Superdrug but unfortunately it came to an end (you'll see it in an upcoming Empties post) I really like the Vitamin E one as you can see in my review  I even mentioned it in my Best of 2012 post. I have to say that this one is slightly better, it smells amazing and it removes makeup slightly better than the other one. I think I prefer this to the Vitamin E and I can't wait to try more from this range.

Vintage Cosmetic Company Eyelash Curlers
I know this is a bit of a random favourite but I am in love with these eyelash curlers. My old ELF where looking a bit worn so I decided to start using these which had been sat in my cupboard. I won these in a giveaway. These are amazing they curl my lashes really well and the curl actually holds it makes my mascara look amazing after curling my lashes.

Benefit They're Real Mascara
Although I am mainly a budget beauty blogger, I like many other bloggers are drawn in by more expensive products. I got this sample in Elle magazine and I am in love with it. I am even tempted to buy the full size which is a rare thing for me. This makes my lashes look amazing, it lengthens and volumises them. I am seriously impressed with this mascara and although £19.50 seems a lot for a mascara I think this one is worth it.

Natural Collection Blush in Pink Cloud
Many bloggers rave about the Natural Collection blush in Peach Melba but to be honest that shade didn't appeal to me. However Pink Cloud was right up my street as I love pink blushes. This colour is so pretty and it adds a nice glow to my cheeks. I have been wearing this blush nearly everyday this month as it is a perfect colour for spring. The best part is that it only cost me £1.99!

MUA Power Pout in Broken Hearted
I'm sure you all know that I love the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable balm stains from my 2 reviews here and here. I am a massive fan of this type of lip products and this is no exception. This colour is a very pretty everyday pink colour, I also have Runway which is a more brighter red colour. These are so easy to wear as they glide on and are quite long lasting.

I will be reviewing most of these once my exams are over. What have you been loving this month?

April Empties

This is my April empties, I am trying to do them monthly now as I seem to use products up every month now. Some months however there won't we as much, this month I've used a fair amount of products so lets see what I've used.

I bought this travel size deodorant to use when I went on a trip. It isn't really anything special it smells ok and does an average job. Not much else to say really.
Would I repurchase? No

Impulse body spray Paris (limited edition)
This wasn't my favourite scent from Impulse. Some of their scents are really nice but I didn't particularly like this one.
Would I repurchase? No

Garnier Clean Sensation deodorant (£2 I couldn't find a link online though)
I really like Garnier deodorants I've tried most of them. I liked this one as it had a clean scent to it rather than a heavily floral scent like some of the other deodorants.
Would I repurchase? Yes

Superdrug extra gentle apple detangling spray (don't think they do this any more but L'oreal does one that is similar)
I really liked this as it helped get rid of some of the knots in my hair after I washed it. It made it easier to comb my hair. I wasn't keen on the scent but luckily it didn't linger on the hair.
Would I repurchase? Yes (obviously from a different brand)

I love this I use it ever time I wash my hair. I ran some through the ends of my hair and I noticed a difference in the amount of split ends I had. I definitely recommend this if you want more information you can read my review here.
Would I repurchase? Yes

I wasn't impressed with the smell of this. It claims to be a luxury handwash but it isn't really. I was quite disappointed with this.
Would I repurchase? No

This hand cream was quite runny and I found it to be quite greasy as well. Although looking online it seems that the packaging has changed so perhaps the formula has as well.
Would I repurchase? No

Royal Jelly body wash (part of a gift set)
This was an ok body wash, I wasn't a massive fan of the scent I found that it was quite strong.
Would I repurchase? No

I loved the smell of this and I found that it was quite moisturising. It sank into the skin really quickly as well. I won't be buying this at the moment as I have a lot of other body butters but I may get it in the future.
Would I repurchase? Yes

I loved the smell of this. It smelt so good and it was a really nice body wash.
Would I repurchase? Yes

Gosh Trio Metallic Rose Review

Gosh Trio Metallic Rose
Gosh Trio Metallic Rose
I got this in the bargain section of my Superdrug for only 49p. I’m not sure if you are still able to get this but you should be able to find it on EBay and other discount websites. I don’t normally wear colours like this but as it was only 49p I thought why not? Also this was my first ever Gosh purchase for some reason I have never tried any of their stuff before but after this I am pretty sure that I will. The colours are really pretty and surprisingly pigmented. These eyeshadows are really soft and blendable. They glide on really well and last all day. Although they are quite pigmented I would recommend using a primer just to make the colour stand out even more.  This trio is handy to have for travel and I have quickly become very fond of it. This is possibly my best beauty bargain ever.

MUA Gel Eyeliner in Underground Review

Where can you buy it- Superdrug or the MUA store

Price- £3

Shade range- Underground (black), Fairground (metallic grey/black), On Move (brown) and Tribe (blue)

What does MUA say about them?
‘They are intensely pigmented and super slick and come in four shades, from the classic black of‘Underground’ to the beautifully bold blue of ‘Tribe’ and are completely smudge-proof once the product has dried. And the most exciting bit of the product is the unique brush applicator, which is cleverly hidden in the lid, which has been designed so you can create an array of long-lasting looks and styles which in future blog posts and videos I will be demonstrating.

My opinion
I am absolutely in love with this eyeliner. I have never been very good at applying liquid or gel eyeliner but I find gel eyeliner a lot easier to use than liquid as you have much more control with it. This is super pigmented and is a proper black unlike some other eyeliners I have tried that have been a bit more of a faded colour. This glides on effortlessly and doesn't smudge at all. I find that this eyeliner lasts all day and is easy to take off as well. The only downside to this product is the brush that comes with it. I am not a massive fan of it and I prefer to use my ELF concealer brush from the 10 piece set that is way too small to beused for concealer but I find it is perfect for applying eyeliner. I really have enjoyed using this and trying out different looks with it. I really want to get Fairground and On Move as I feel I would get a lot of use out of them.

Have you tried theseeyeliners?
