Makeup Gallery Blush in Candyfloss Review

Whilst in Poundland I decided to pick up a few different items from their makeup line which is called Makeup Gallery. I selected a blush in the shade Candyfloss.
The packaging is quite basic but that is to be expected as it is a budget brand however the packaging feels very secure and I don’t think it will break easily. I quite like that Poundland have opted to use square packaging as most blushes come in a circular compact but I quite like that this is different and it matches the other powder products in the range. The blusher feels very smooth and isn’t too chalky. The blush is pretty pigmented as well for a budget product. It is really easy to blend and it creates a really nice natural flush on my cheeks that I really like for every day. I have been wearing this blush a lot and it is quickly becoming one of my most used. For me this is the perfect every day shade and I highly recommend checking it out especially if you want a natural shade. The blush is a warm pink shade that has a slight coral tone to it and quite surprisingly it is a matte blush which is unusual for a budget blush as they are usually full of shimmer. I am really glad that the Makeup Gallery range has shade names as many budget brands don’t name their products and it makes it so much more interesting when they have shade names.

Overall I really like this blush and I would like to pick up more from the range although there are only 4 shades to choose from. I need to try more from the brand, I have tried the eyeshadows and they are fantastic and I have a couple of polishes to try out too.

Do you have any Makeup Gallery recommendations?

Milani Sunset Duo in Sunset Beach Review

Today I am going to be reviewing the Milani Sunset Duo in Sunset Beach. I have previously reviewed the Milani Sunset Duo in Sunset Breeze and the Milani Glimmer Stripes in Pink Glimmer and I really liked both of them. I picked up the Milani products in Poundland as they are not that readily available in the UK.
Milani Sunset Duo in Sunset Beach

The packaging of this is pretty nice. It comes in a gold compact with a clear lid. On this particular one I find that the lid isn’t that secure but on the other two that I own the lid is much more secure so I am not sure why this one is different.  I like that this is a two in one product as I don’t wear bronzer that often but I am more likely to wear it if it is in the same compact as the blush that I am wearing. One complaint that I have is that the blush and bronzer are not equal in size. I think it would be much easier if it was split down the middle as I find it difficult to get my brush in just the blush or just the bronzer.
Milani Sunset Duo in Sunset Beach
I use the Real Techniques Blush Brush to apply this product but like I mentioned above this brush is quite big which isn’t ideal for applying the blush as there is only a small area that I often get bronzer on my brush as well.
Milani Sunset Duo in Sunset Beach
The blush is a really pretty plum shade with gold shimmer running through it. I don’t have any other shade like this in my collection and I find that it looks very pretty on my pale skin. The bronzer has a slight bit of shimmer in it but it isn’t too much that your face looks glittery. The pigmentation of these two is ok. There are more pigmented blushes available but if you want a subtle touch of colour then this is great. The bronzer is more pigmented than the blush. I use the bronzer to add some colour all over my face.

Milani Sunset Duo in Sunset Beach
Overall I do like this product but this is not my favourite colour combination I prefer Sunset Breeze and Sunset City as the colour combination is better suited to my skin tone.

Makeup Revolution Blush in Wow Review

Like many bloggers I have quickly fallen in love with Makeup Revolution. They offer amazing products for such affordable prices. They have a fantastic range of products that they are always adding to. Today I am going to be reviewing one of their Powder Blushes in the shade Wow.
Makeup Revolution Blush in Wow
The packaging of this blush is quite simple, it comes in a black compact with a clear lid. Despite being simple the packaging does feel very sturdy and doesn’t feel as if it would break easily. The gold writing on the lid does rub off especially if you keep it in a makeup bag however considering the price you pay this is only a small issue. I like that the packaging is very compact sometimes with more budget brands the packaging can be quite bulky.

Makeup Revolution Blush in Wow
I use the Real Techniques Blush Brush to apply this to the apples of my cheeks. I like the Real Techniques Blush Brush for applying blush as it is the perfect size for applying product to your cheeks.

Makeup Revolution Blush in Wow
The shade Wow is a light pink which gives a natural flush to the cheeks. I am really impressed with this blush as the texture is very soft and it is easy to blend. It is nicely pigmented but not too much so that it looks scary on your face. This blush is completely matte which can be harder to find at the drugstore as a lot of brands opt for shimmery blushes. Makeup Revolution have six shades available to choose from so there should be something for everyone.

Makeup Revolution Blush in Wow
This blush is super affordable and only costs £1 and I would happily pick up more from the range. Makeup Revolution is available online and in selected Superdrug stores.

If you are a fan of blush then I recommend trying these out or if you are new to blush and you want to expand your collection this is a good one to get as it is so affordable.

What’s your favourite Makeup Revolution product?

Makeup Revolution Haul

If you are an avid blog reader then you will probably of heard of Makeup Revolution. They are a new brand which seems to have taken the blogging world by storm . They are a super affordable brand with lots of exciting products on offer many of which are dupes for higher end products.

Makeup Revolution Haul
I recently made an order as I could not wait any longer. After reading so many posts I needed to try some of their products and I know I will be ordering some more as I am very impressed with what they have on offer. Firstly I got 3 of their lipsticks which are only £1. The shades I got were Mystify, Rebel With Cause and The One.

Makeup Revolution Haul
I picked up 2 of their individual eyeshadows as I heard that they were really good. I got the shades Sold Out and Promised Land. They are only £1 each and they are super pigmented. I picked up one of the powder blushes in Wow!, it is a really pretty pink blush which I can't wait to try.

Makeup Revolution Haul
I got 3 of the All Day & Night eyeliners after reading good things about them. I got One Sin Too Many, Stars Come Out and Channeling My Inner. I am really looking forward to trying these eyeliners out as when I swatched them they feel really soft and creamy.

Makeup Revolution Haul
Lastly I got probably one of their most popular products. The eyeshadow palettes have been talked about quite a lot. I got the Iconic 1,2 and 3 palettes which are dupes for the Naked palettes.

I can't wait to try everything out and I will be reviewing everything as soon as I try it out.

June Haul

Today I thought I would share with you some of the bits and pieces that I have picked up during the month of June.

Haul- Revlon, Rimmel and W7
I'll first start with the items that I picked up at a local discount beauty store. This shop stocks a whole host of brands and products and discounted prices. I picked up another Rimmel Glam Eyes Eyeshadow this time I got the shade Punchy Taupe (160) for £1.99. The quality of these eyeshadows is amazing they are really pigmented and really easy to blend. I picked up a Revlon Photoready Blush in the shade Flushed for £3.99. I don't own many cream blushes so I thought I would give this one a go as I love Revlon and this colour is really pretty. I then picked up the W7 Light Diffusing Concealer for £2.99. It looks very similar to the YSL Touche Eclat so I thought I would give it a go. I picked up another Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick as I really like the formula of these and I loved the colour of this one. I got the shade Funtime Fuschia (320) for £2.99. The last item I got was a Revlon Lipgloss from the Super Lustrous range. I got the shade Berry Allure (225) as I remember Essiebutton mentioning it a few years ago and I love Revlon lip products and it was only £2.99.

MUA Haul
I then picked up a few bits from MUA as I had a few things on my wishlist. I got 2 lipsticks as I think that the lipsticks are a great value for money at just £1. They have a pretty decent shade range and the quality is pretty good there are a few hit and miss shades but usually the darker shades are the better ones. I got the shades 2 and 3, the one thing I don't like about them is the fact that they don't have names as it makes them seem a bit boring (am I the only one you thinks this?). I picked up another one of their blushers as I really like them. I already own Marshmallow, Candyfloss and Lolly and I have now added Bubblegum to my collection (I intend to own all the shades!). The last think I got was from the Luxe range it is the Velvet Lip Lacquer in Criminal, I only picked up one of these despite having other shades on my wishlist as I wanted to see whether I liked it as I am not normally a fan of matte lips but I wanted to give these a try.

Sanctuary Spa Haul
In Boots I picked up some Sanctuary Spa minis as I've heard a lot about the brand but have never tried anything from them before. I think that minis are the perfect way to try out products without committing to the full size version. I got the Body Moisture Spray as I thought that it would be perfect for summer. I also picked up the Illuminating Moisture Lotion SPF15, the Fresh Faced Purifying Wash and the Body Butter

Seventeen Haul
I also picked up some bits from Seventeen as they had a free gift when you bought any 2 products. I haven't tried many things from Seventeen but I have good things about some of their products. I got the Skin Wow 3 Way Highlighter. This can be used in (you guessed it!) 3 ways: you can use it as a primer, mixed with your foundation or as a highlighter on the cheekbones. I have read some great reviews of this so I thought I would get it. I also got the Cheek Stamp Blush in  Made You Look, this is such a gimmick but I love gimmicks so I just had to have it.
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer
The last thing I got was the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer as it was in the clearance section for £2.50 so I thought I'd get a back up as it was cheaper.

March Favourites

March went by so quickly and my exams are fast approaching. I am now on half term so I have 2 weeks off school, most of the time will be spent revising but I am going to try and blog so that I can schedule some posts as I am going to be very busy the next couple of months. With my first exam in 59 days I need to do a lot of work in order to get the grades I need to get into my chosen university.

The first think I have been loving is the ELF Baked Blush in Peachy Cheeky this is a gorgeous colour and is perfect for spring. Now that the weather has been improving I have been reaching for this a lot as I think it is lovely to wear when it is sunny.

Another product that goes with the theme of spring is the ELF All Over Cover Stick in Persimmon this is a gorgeous champagne colour and I have been using it as a highlighter on the top of my cheek bones. It looks absolutely stunning and I think I will use it a lot in the upcoming months.

This month I have a lot of eye makeup favourites some of which are re-entries. I have found a new use for the Collection Work The Colour Eyeshadow Stick in Vanilla Sky I have been using it to highlight the inner corners of my eyes and I think it looks lovely.

I have been once again reaching for the Benefit They're Real Mascara I really like this mascara and even though it is expensive I have been tempted to buy the full size.  I love the way it makes my lashes look, it lengthens and volumises them and it stays put all day.

My last favourite is the NO7 Eye Appeal Palette which I got for Christmas. It is a gorgeous neutrals palette and I have loved experimenting with the different colours in it. The quality of the palette is amazing the colours are very pigmented. I will be reviewing this soon so you can see the swatches.

Fashionista Customised Blush Palette Review

I have had this palette for such a long time and it has taken me far too long to write this review. When MUA released on their Facebook Page  that they were going to be selling Fashionista products on their website I was so excited. For the longest time I had wanted to create a Fashionista Customised Palette for a long time. As far as I am aware this is the closest that you can get to a MAC Fill Your Own Palette on the highstreet/drugstore. I am sure you are all aware of the MAC concept in which you buy a empty palette and you can fill it with whatever eyeshadows/blushes/bronzers you choose. This is the exact same concept but for a fraction of the price.
Fashionista Customised Blush Palette
There are 4 palettes to choose from. A black one with Fashionista written all over it, this red one which has Fashionista written in the corner or a silver leopard print one. These 3 are all 4 pan palettes and can hold 4 eyeshadows/blushes/ bronzers or a combination. There is one 6 pan palette which is plain white. I chose to fill my palette with blushes and I also got one just for eyeshadows. In the future I plan to make more as I love the way that you can customise them and I think they would come in handy when travelling as you could create one that had some eyeshadows, blushes and bronzers in so you wouldn't have to carry so many products with you as they would be all in one palette. The palettes themselves are really sturdy and come with a good sized mirror.

Fashionista Customised Blush Palette
Each eyeshadow/blush/bronzer comes in a plastic case which you can keep them in your pop the pans out to put in your palette. The pans pop out very easily and I love that when you put them in the palette you can still see the shade name from the bottom.

Fashionista Customised Blush Palette
The four shades I chose were (from left to right) Rose Shine, Flush, Glowing and Milan. Fashionista has a wide range of colours to choose from so the combinations you can make are endless. As you can see the majority of the blushes I chose are pink as this is the shade that I most often wear. The quality of these blushes are fantastic; they are pigmented and easy to work with. I have been blown away by how good they are considering the cheap prices. I have included some swatches below so you can see how amazing the pigmentation is.

Fashionista Customised Blush Palette
From left to right: Rose Shine, Flush, Glowing and Milan

As you can see these blushes are an amazing quality and unlike brands like MAC these are super affordable. The 4 pan palettes cost £2 each and the 6 pan palette costs £3. Each individual blush, eyeshadow and bronzer are £1.65. However MUA over a deal so you can fill a 4 pan palette for £7 (saving you £1.40) and a 6 pan palette for £10
(saving you £2.90).

I am totally in love with this palette and I will definitely be getting another one I also have an eyeshadow one which I will be talking about soon.

If you want to purchase a palette or an individual shade then you can here. (This weekend they have free shipping if you use this code MUAOCT20). I recommend that you look up the shades online as the little pictures on the website can be a little misleading.

Have you tried these palettes?

ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzer Review

ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzer St Lucia

Today I want to share with you a product that I have been loving for awhile now. It is the ELF contouring blush and bronzer kit in St Lucia. I bought this awhile ago as I thought it would be handy to have a blush and a bronzer together as it would come in handy for travelling. Many people also compare it to the Nars Orgasm and Laguna duo.

ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzer St Lucia
The blush shade is not one I'd normally go for as I usually wear pink blushes but recently I have been trying to branch out of my comfort zone and try something new so without further ado I'll start with the review.

This is what ELF says about it 'Create a healthy and natural glow all year long with the Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder. The Blush highlights the cheeks to add a flush of colour, while the Bronzer accents and contours cheekbones for beautiful definition.'

The packaging is very akin to Nars packaging in that it is black and sleek but unlike Nars this is made of matte black plastic. I love the huge mirror that comes with this as it makes it perfect for travelling as you don't need to bother packing a mirror.

ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzer St Lucia
The blush is a gorgeous peachy pink which has a gold shimmer running through it. The bronzer is matte and is quite a dark shade of brown which at first caused problems for me as I am quite pale but once I got the hang of using it I was fine. I really like this product, I do tend to use the blush more often than the bronzer because I find it easier to wear. The products are quite powdery compared to other drugstore blushes but for the price you can't really complain. All in all this is a good product and I think it is worth trying I'm surprised by how often I reach for the blush considering I usually only wear pink blushes. One word of warning is that if you already own the ELF single blush in Twinkle Pink then don't get this and the blush shades are almost identical. Also if you prefer cream products then they do a cream version of this as well.

Summary:
Product: ELF contouring blush and bronzer
Price: £3.75
Shades: St Lucia, Antigua (blush= bright pink with shimmer) and Turks and Caicos (blush= rose mauve with gold shimmer)
Where can you buy it: eyelipsface.co.uk
Score(/10) 7

Natural Collection Blush in Pink Cloud Review

Natural Collection Blush in Pink Cloud
I have been using this blush for awhile now and I wanted to review it for you. I got this from Boots for £1.99 as I had heard so much about the Natural Collection blushes particularly Peach Melba. I decided that Peach Melba was not a shade for me so I opted for Pink Cloud instead.

Natural Collection Blush in Pink Cloud
The packaging of this blush is very cheap but when you are paying £1.99 that is not too important. My only problem with it is that I have noticed that the pan has become unstuck from the container.
Natural Collection Blush in Pink Cloud Swatch
I really like this colour, I nearly always wear pink blushes and this is a lovely light pink colour that looks beautiful on my cheeks. The colour looks very natural on my face and seems to compliment my pale skin tone however I think that this will look lovely on all skin tones. I think the pigmentation of this blush is pretty good as it is very cheap and also think that it is quite easy to blend into the skin. This blush sits really well on top of foundation as well as I have found some cheaper blushes don't always sit well on top of foundations but this does. I have been wearing this pretty much everyday this month and I really like it.

Have you tried any Natural Collection products? Do you have any recommendations?

MUA Haul

When I found out that MUA were going to be selling Fashionista products I knew I'd be making an order. I have been wanting a Fashionista palette for ages and this was a great opportunity for me to try them. You can fill a palette for £7 which is fantastic value.

I decided to get 2 palettes one for blush and one for eyeshadow. In my blush palette I got the shades Rose Shine, Flush, Glowing and Milan. My eyeshadow palette contains Frozen, Nude Glimmer, Radiant and Gold Rush. I love the fact that you can customize your own palette.I also got a bronzer in the shade Barcelona.  I picked up another brush as I love the MUA brushes, I got the E2- Eyeshadow Contouring brush. I also picked 2 of MUA''s new blushes in Marshmallow and Candyfloss. That's all I bought and you can expect to see reviews of the products shortly.

May Favourites

Although I am taking a break from blogging whilst I revise for my AS exams, I wanted to do my May favourites as I never missed a favourites post before in the whole year that I have been blogging. After Wednesday I will be back to blogging full time, to make up for my lack of posts I will try and blog everyday. I want to thank you for staying with me and  my blog over this very busy and stressful time. So on with my favourites.

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Hot Cloth Cleanser
I loved the Vitamin E hot cloth cleanser from Superdrug but unfortunately it came to an end (you'll see it in an upcoming Empties post) I really like the Vitamin E one as you can see in my review  I even mentioned it in my Best of 2012 post. I have to say that this one is slightly better, it smells amazing and it removes makeup slightly better than the other one. I think I prefer this to the Vitamin E and I can't wait to try more from this range.

Vintage Cosmetic Company Eyelash Curlers
I know this is a bit of a random favourite but I am in love with these eyelash curlers. My old ELF where looking a bit worn so I decided to start using these which had been sat in my cupboard. I won these in a giveaway. These are amazing they curl my lashes really well and the curl actually holds it makes my mascara look amazing after curling my lashes.

Benefit They're Real Mascara
Although I am mainly a budget beauty blogger, I like many other bloggers are drawn in by more expensive products. I got this sample in Elle magazine and I am in love with it. I am even tempted to buy the full size which is a rare thing for me. This makes my lashes look amazing, it lengthens and volumises them. I am seriously impressed with this mascara and although £19.50 seems a lot for a mascara I think this one is worth it.

Natural Collection Blush in Pink Cloud
Many bloggers rave about the Natural Collection blush in Peach Melba but to be honest that shade didn't appeal to me. However Pink Cloud was right up my street as I love pink blushes. This colour is so pretty and it adds a nice glow to my cheeks. I have been wearing this blush nearly everyday this month as it is a perfect colour for spring. The best part is that it only cost me £1.99!

MUA Power Pout in Broken Hearted
I'm sure you all know that I love the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable balm stains from my 2 reviews here and here. I am a massive fan of this type of lip products and this is no exception. This colour is a very pretty everyday pink colour, I also have Runway which is a more brighter red colour. These are so easy to wear as they glide on and are quite long lasting.

I will be reviewing most of these once my exams are over. What have you been loving this month?

Dainty Doll- My Girl Blush Review

Dainty Doll- My Girl Blush
I love the packaging of the boxes of Dainty Doll products I think it is really cute. As you probably know Fragrance Direct sold many Dainty Doll products for as little as £1.99. This is a great bargain as they are usually much more expensive. These blushes usually retail at £13.50 so it is great to get them so cheap. I reviewed the concealer a few weeks ago which I was really disappointed with but the blushes are amazing.

Dainty Doll- My Girl Blush
Today I'm going to be reviewing the shade My Girl, which is a gorgeous light pink colour. I also bought another shade called You Are My Sunshine which I'll be reviewing at another time.

Dainty Doll- My Girl Blush
I love the sleek, black packaging the design is very simple but it looks really elegant. This also comes with a big mirror which is really handy for on the go.

Dainty Doll- My Girl Blush
The colour is a gorgeous light pink. This looks really natural on my skin and it adds a nice pink glow. The blushes are quite pigmented but thankfully it doesn't matter if you are heavy handed as it is difficult to apply too much. This is a very pretty blush which is perfect for spring/summer. I love this and I included it in my April favourites

April Favourites

April Favourites
I'm sorry that I haven't blogged for nearly a week, I have been really busy revising for my exams so for the next few weeks I may not be posting as often. I hope you understand.Today I wanted to share with you my April favourites.

Soap and Glory's The Daily Smooth body butter
I've had it's for quite awhile, but because I have so many other body butters I didn't use it. I recently rediscovered it this month. I love it, it smells absolutely amazing and it leaves my skin feeling so soft. You can get away with not using this everyday as it moisturises your skin really well.

Dainty Doll My Girl Blush
I really like this blush it is the perfect blush for spring. This is really pigmented and is super soft and easy to blend. I like this blush as it is really long lasting and looks lovely on my skin.

Revlon Colorstay 12 Hour Eyeshadow in Coffee Bean
Unfortunately this has been discontinued but I found this in a discount beauty shop. I have been really enjoying this little quad. You can create so many different looks with this and I love having all the colours in one place.

MUA Undress Your Skin highlighter
I love this highlighter it is so pretty. This looks lovely with My Girl and adds a shimmer to your cheeks without being too much. I think this is going to be a staple for me this summer.

Maybelline Great Lash mascara
I am in love with this mascara, it makes my lashes look amazing. It lengthens and volumises my lashes. I really like the wand as it is quite small so you can use it for your lower lashes.

NYC Colour Wheel Plum Passion Review

I found this in my local discount shop and it was only £1.99. NYC can be bought at Superdrug and the blushes are normally £3.99. I couldn't find this on the Superdrug website but I'm sure you could find it online. I love mosaic blushes and I really like the MUA mosaic blush. The MUA blush is perfect for spring/summer as it has lighter shades of pink in it. This is perfect for autumn/winter due to its darker shades of pink in it. I love this blush as it acts as a blush and a bronzer. It adds a nice glow to your cheeks but it also adds warming effect to your cheeks due to the darker colours in it. I had never tried any NYC products before this and I really want to try some more of their products. I would love to try some of their other blush shades.

MUA Shimmer Kiss Blusher Review

A picture of MUA's shimmer kisses blush
Where you can buy it: Superdrug and online
Price: £3
Shade Range: blusher or bronzer
What MUA says ‘Shimmer Kisses Blusher highlights skin with four squares of pearlescent shimmer. Each bar also doubles up as eye shadow.

MUA's pink shimmer kisses
My opinion
First of all I want to say out of all the MUA products I have tried this is probably my least favourite. I really liked the Mosaic Blush and expected this to be of a similar quality but it isn't  I do like the packaging and I find it much easier to open compared to the mosaic blush.  I find this blush to be slightly chalky and therefore difficult to blend. The colour pay off however is quite good. I also noticed that this smells slightly of play doh which isn't a particularly nice smell. When the product is on the face it creates quite a nice pink glow. I do like this blush but I'm not wowed by it. MUA says that you can use it as an eyeshadow but I haven’t tried it with this if I had the bronzer I would be more likely to use it as an eyeshadow.

MUA Artiste Palette Review

Where can you buy it- Superdrug or the MUA store

Price- £6

Shades- 6 eyeshadows from left to right Pistachio, Mocca,Ice, Grape, Chocolate and Cookie
4 face products from left to right Pink Shimmer, Primrose, Bronzed and Shimmer Kiss

What does MUA say about it?
‘This is a beautiful artiste collection palette on the go which helps create a full face all in one, with 6 brand NEW merged eye shadows, two powder blushers and a contour shade and highlighter. Shades include shimmery merged tones for fashion-forward statement smoky eyes with light and earthy naturals for an everyday look which can easily be transformed into an evening smoky eye look. The two blushes include warm pink shades for a soft shimmer finish. Finally the contour and highlighter helps create a flawless sculpted natural glow.
My opinion
I love this palette becauseit is so versatile. You can create so many different looks with it. All theeyeshadows are really pigmented and really easy to blend. I love all thecolours except Ice and Grape as they are a bit too bright for me. I lovePrimrose as it is a gorgeous blush colour and I wish I could buy itindividually. I love that MUA are starting to name the shades in theirpalettes. In my opinion isn’t as good as the Undressed palette but it is stillquite good. What lets it down for me is the bronzer, highlighter, Ice andGrape. Not because they are bad products but because I don’t use them. I wouldhave preferred if they had included 4 blushes instead of 2 so that I could havetried more blushes as I am still quite new to blushes.
