NOTD: Barry M Gelly Hi Shine in Blueberry

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine in Blueberry
As I have mentioned many times already on this blog I love the Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Polishes. I love the finish and the shade range is amazing there is something for everyone. The first shade I got was Greenberry which started my love for these polishes. I then went out and got Passionfruit a gorgeous red colour. I am now sharing with you Blueberry which is a gorgeous powder blue.

I absolutely adore the glossy finish of these polishes. These last for a week before they start to chip which is amazing for drugstore polishes. I love this colour it is a gorgeous blue and it is very different from the reds or pinks that I usually go for. You only need 2 coats of these polishes and they dry really quickly as well which is good if you are short of time as I usually am. It is only in the past few years that I have got into nail polish before I didn't mind going out without any polish on my nails but now I can't bear to leave the house if my nails aren't painted. I lead quite a busy live as I am currently studying A Levels which requires a lot of time, work and effort so I don't always have time to be painting my nails and changing the colour every few days for me it is important that polishes can last a week or 5 at least days so I can repaint them at the weekend. I cannot recommend these polishes enough and even if you don't like this colour I can guarantee that there is a colour in the range that you will love.

Have you tried any of these polishes?

Boots Why Must You Sell So Many Pretty Things?

I thought I had already posted this haul but it appears that I haven't. So I thought I would share it with you today.
So after seeing the NYC Nail Polishes on so many blogs I decided to pick them up for myself. The colours look fantastic and from the swatches I have seen the quality is really good considering they are only £1.79. The shades I chose are Blue Sky (although it is a mint green colour) and Spring Tulip. Another colour that featured on many blogs was Raindrop but it looked very similar to Rimmel's Mind The Gap Victoria which I already owned.
I then went into Poundland I picked up a Calvin Klein Tempting Glimmer in Bare Silk these are basically cream eyeshadows and are very similar to the Maybelline Colour Tattoos which I love. I love the colour and I have since picked up another in the shade Cashmere Plum which you will see in another haul soon.
Then lastly in Boots I picked up a few things. After seeing this Revlon lipstick on someone's blog I knew I had to have it. It is from the Super Lustrous range and is in the shade Pink In The Afternoon (415). It is a gorgeous nude shade which is great for everyday wear. I picked up another Collection Work The Colour Eyeshadow Stick as I already had Vanilla Sky and really liked it so I picked up Vintage Blush. The last thing I picked up was a lipstick from Natural Collection. I have only tried a few products from this brand and I have really liked them especially the blush. Again this was another product that I saw on someone's blog it is in the shade Raspberry which is a subtle red and it is the perfect colour for autumn/winter.

What I can summarise from this is that reading other people's blogs is bad for my purse as I always find too many nice things that I want.

I am sorry this haul is quite late as I bought these items quite awhile ago but I could have sworn I had posted it. Look out for another haul soon as I am going away for a few days and I am bound to buy some more things.

What have you bought this week? Any recommendations?

Fashionista Customised Blush Palette Review

I have had this palette for such a long time and it has taken me far too long to write this review. When MUA released on their Facebook Page  that they were going to be selling Fashionista products on their website I was so excited. For the longest time I had wanted to create a Fashionista Customised Palette for a long time. As far as I am aware this is the closest that you can get to a MAC Fill Your Own Palette on the highstreet/drugstore. I am sure you are all aware of the MAC concept in which you buy a empty palette and you can fill it with whatever eyeshadows/blushes/bronzers you choose. This is the exact same concept but for a fraction of the price.
Fashionista Customised Blush Palette
There are 4 palettes to choose from. A black one with Fashionista written all over it, this red one which has Fashionista written in the corner or a silver leopard print one. These 3 are all 4 pan palettes and can hold 4 eyeshadows/blushes/ bronzers or a combination. There is one 6 pan palette which is plain white. I chose to fill my palette with blushes and I also got one just for eyeshadows. In the future I plan to make more as I love the way that you can customise them and I think they would come in handy when travelling as you could create one that had some eyeshadows, blushes and bronzers in so you wouldn't have to carry so many products with you as they would be all in one palette. The palettes themselves are really sturdy and come with a good sized mirror.

Fashionista Customised Blush Palette
Each eyeshadow/blush/bronzer comes in a plastic case which you can keep them in your pop the pans out to put in your palette. The pans pop out very easily and I love that when you put them in the palette you can still see the shade name from the bottom.

Fashionista Customised Blush Palette
The four shades I chose were (from left to right) Rose Shine, Flush, Glowing and Milan. Fashionista has a wide range of colours to choose from so the combinations you can make are endless. As you can see the majority of the blushes I chose are pink as this is the shade that I most often wear. The quality of these blushes are fantastic; they are pigmented and easy to work with. I have been blown away by how good they are considering the cheap prices. I have included some swatches below so you can see how amazing the pigmentation is.

As you can see these blushes are an amazing quality and unlike brands like MAC these are super affordable. The 4 pan palettes cost £2 each and the 6 pan palette costs £3. Each individual blush, eyeshadow and bronzer are £1.65. However MUA over a deal so you can fill a 4 pan palette for £7 (saving you £1.40) and a 6 pan palette for £10
(saving you £2.90).

I am totally in love with this palette and I will definitely be getting another one I also have an eyeshadow one which I will be talking about soon.

If you want to purchase a palette or an individual shade then you can here. (This weekend they have free shipping if you use this code MUAOCT20). I recommend that you look up the shades online as the little pictures on the website can be a little misleading.

Have you tried these palettes?

Weekly Summary #9

So this week has been another busy week what with sending my UCAS application off and revising for my theory test. I have been very busy.

So on Thursday my UCAS application got sent off (for those of you not in the UK or don't know it is my university application) Now I have to wait for the universities to give me offers. I am so nervous as I don't know when I'll back and I'm scared I won't get any offers.

Also today I had my theory test which I was super worried about as I didn't want to fail it. I have been revising all week and yesterday I had a major cramming session which seems to have worked because I passed. As I was going through answering the questions I was sure that I had got loads wrong but I hadn't I got 45 out of 50 and you need 43 to pass. On the hazard perception part I got 55 out of 75 and you need 44 to pass. So I was very pleased with this result.

As of Thursday I have a week and a few days off which means I'll be able to post more often. On Monday I am going to Derbyshire for a day and at the end of the week I am going to Bath Spa open day.

Weekly Summary #8

I am so sorry that I didn't post anything this week but I have been super busy. I have had so much to do for school, I have had tests, homework and my uni application to do. This update is for the past 2 weeks as I didn't do one for last week.

Last Saturday I went to the Brighton University open day. We went to the campus in Eastbourne the campus was really nice and the course looked really good. We went into town to do some shopping and if I did go there then I would be plenty of shops for me to look round. However UCLAN is still my favourite so hopefully they'll give me an offer.

I had my hair cut yesterday and I now have a sweeping fringe. I am really pleased with it I think it is a really good hairstyle for autumn and I am so glad that I had it done. What fuelled me to have my hair changed was Pinterest. I love looking at other peoples boards and repinning pictures to my own boards. It is great for inspiring me not only with hairstyles but makeup, fashion and quotes as well. If you have Pinterest then let me know as I love finding new people to follow and if you fancy following me here is my link

Also I am super excited for Christmas. I went into Boots and they have all their Christmas gift sets out. I picked up the gift guide from Boots and Superdrug and you can expect some Christmas wishlist posts coming up in the future and some other Christmas related posts.

Did any of you watch Hollyoaks Later this year I thought it was amazing. I haven't watched all the episodes yet but so far I have been really enjoying it. Also I want to tell any UK Vampire Diaries fans that The Originals which is a spin off series is coming out on the 22nd of this month on Syfy  at 10pm and on the 29th Vampire Diaries is returning to ITV2 at 9pm I am so excited.

Autumn Outfit Idea #1

Autumn Outfit

Scarf from Jules B
£34.97

This is a simple outfit that I created that would be suitable for this autumn. The white top is a good basic and you will be able to create a lot of outfits with it. Pair it with some darker navy jeans and some black ankle boots and you have a cute simple outfit. Then to jazz it up add some accessories I think orange is a great colour for autumn and as it gets colder a scarf will come in handy. The bangle and earrings just add a finishing touch to the outfit. Every outfit needs a bag and I love this one it will go with so many outfits. If it is really cold I would pair this outfit with a grey coat.

I hope you enjoyed this outfit idea. I plan to do more of these so if you have any requests/ suggestions then let me know.

Also I know I haven't blogged a lot recently this is because I have had a lot of school work to do and obviously that always comes first but I am going to try and schedule some posts and it is half term next week so I'll hopefully be able to post more.

NOTD: Essie All Tied Up Perfect Shade For Autumn

Essie All Tied Up
This is the perfect colour for autumn even though it is from the Summer 2012 collection. I love this colour it is a dusty rose colour with a subtle golden shimmer running through it. I love Essie polishes they are long lasting and you tend to only need 1 or 2 coats. For this polish I only needed 1 coat. I love this colour because it is so different from anything else I own.

September Favourites

Today I am sharing with you my September favourites. I didn't use many different products this month so I only have a few favourites to share with you. I have been loving using the Seventeen Back Lash Eyeliner to tightline my eyes as this makes my lashes look fuller and longer. This is very easy to use and it stays put all day and it is really creamy as well. I have been loving the Collection Work The Colour Eyeshadow Pencils as they are so quick and easy to apply in the morning. I have the shade Vintage Blush and Vanilla Sky. They blend really easy and they stay put throughout the day. Lastly is the Boots Vitamin E Eye Cream I love the formula of this it is light and blends in easily. I noticed a reduction in my dark circles within a few days.

What have you been loving this month?

Weekly Summary #7

I am really sorry for my lack of posts over the weekend but I was at a uni open day. I went to University of Central Lancashire's open day on Saturday. As we had to travel for 3 hours to get there we decided to go on Friday night and spend the night so we'd be ready for Saturday morning. I loved the uni and I really want to go their. The course was amazing (retail management) and the campus was really nice as well. As I didn't get back until Sunday afternoon I didn't have time to post.

This weekend I may not be able to post either because I am going to Brighton for another open day. I will try and schedule some posts but I'm not sure how busy I will be this week as I seem to have a lot of work to do for school .

Thank you for your continuous support.
