October Favourites

October Favourites
So today I am sharing with you my October favourites. This month I have been loving quite a few things. Firstly now that it is officially autumn I have been reaching for my NYC Colour Wheel in Plum Passion  I think that this is a perfect blush for colour as it is quite a warm toned pink. It isn't the most pigmented blush but I have been reaching for it a lot and it is one of my favourites. I have been loving the ELF lipstick in Gypsy this is the perfect colour for autumn. Gypsy is quite a dark shade but I love it and I have been wearing it a lot this month. ELF lipsticks are great quality and are so affordable. I have been using my Calvin Klein Tempting Glimmer in Cashmere Plum this month. This is a cream eyeshadow which is similar to the Maybelline Colour Tattoos which I love. This colour is somewhere in between Pomegranate and Rose Gold from the Maybelline Colour Tattoo range. I love this colour, it is easy to blend and it really pigmented although it doesn't last as long as the Colour Tattoos. My last favourites are nail related. I recently got some nail dotting tools from Ebay and I have been loving using them. I have using the L'Oreal nail polish in You Are Worth It which is a bluey grey colour and I love it, when I first got it I thought I wouldn't use it but I have used this quite a lot and it makes a nice change from the usual colours I wear.  I have been doting my accent nail with Revlon's Sweet Tart which you will see in an upcoming NOTD. I have included some close up photos of the products and some swatches below.

NOTD: I'm All Ears

Today I am going to share with you an NOTD featuring OPI's I'm All Ears which is from the Vintage Minnie Mouse Collection. So as I am sure you are all ware I love pink nail polishes  in fact I love anything pink. I got this polish from Fragrance Direct for £399 and although I don't think this particular shade is on there any more there are still plenty of shades to choose from.

I love the colour of this, it is a sparkly pink with a blue shimmer running through it. The polish was quite sheer so I needed 3 coats but it lasted a week which is very impressive. The finish is jelly-ish. I love this colour and I think it will become a favourite of mine.

Weekly Summary #10

I am so sorry for my lack of posts recently school has been really busy and I've had so much work to do. I know I was planning to post during half term but I really wanted a rest as I'd been busy at school. I don't see my school work lightening up any time soon so I'll be posting as and when. If any one wants to write a guest post for me that would be a great help. If you are interested email me at prettylittlefashionista@hotmail.com

So last week I went to the Bath Spa open day which was really nice. The campus was lovely but the course wasn't that great which was slightly disappointing. But in more positive news I have got 3 offers from Unis. I have got offers from Gloucestershire, Brighton and Bournemouth so far which is really exciting.

It is now officially the countdown to Christmas now or in my eyes anyway. I love buying presents and decorating the tree. Pinterest has been my best friend recently has I have been getting Christmas inspiration from there. Hopefully this year I will be able to write some Christmas themed posts which is super exciting.

What have you been up to recently?

NOTD: Barry M Gelly Hi Shine in Blueberry

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine in Blueberry
As I have mentioned many times already on this blog I love the Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Polishes. I love the finish and the shade range is amazing there is something for everyone. The first shade I got was Greenberry which started my love for these polishes. I then went out and got Passionfruit a gorgeous red colour. I am now sharing with you Blueberry which is a gorgeous powder blue.

I absolutely adore the glossy finish of these polishes. These last for a week before they start to chip which is amazing for drugstore polishes. I love this colour it is a gorgeous blue and it is very different from the reds or pinks that I usually go for. You only need 2 coats of these polishes and they dry really quickly as well which is good if you are short of time as I usually am. It is only in the past few years that I have got into nail polish before I didn't mind going out without any polish on my nails but now I can't bear to leave the house if my nails aren't painted. I lead quite a busy live as I am currently studying A Levels which requires a lot of time, work and effort so I don't always have time to be painting my nails and changing the colour every few days for me it is important that polishes can last a week or 5 at least days so I can repaint them at the weekend. I cannot recommend these polishes enough and even if you don't like this colour I can guarantee that there is a colour in the range that you will love.

Have you tried any of these polishes?

Boots Why Must You Sell So Many Pretty Things?

I thought I had already posted this haul but it appears that I haven't. So I thought I would share it with you today.
So after seeing the NYC Nail Polishes on so many blogs I decided to pick them up for myself. The colours look fantastic and from the swatches I have seen the quality is really good considering they are only £1.79. The shades I chose are Blue Sky (although it is a mint green colour) and Spring Tulip. Another colour that featured on many blogs was Raindrop but it looked very similar to Rimmel's Mind The Gap Victoria which I already owned.
I then went into Poundland I picked up a Calvin Klein Tempting Glimmer in Bare Silk these are basically cream eyeshadows and are very similar to the Maybelline Colour Tattoos which I love. I love the colour and I have since picked up another in the shade Cashmere Plum which you will see in another haul soon.
Then lastly in Boots I picked up a few things. After seeing this Revlon lipstick on someone's blog I knew I had to have it. It is from the Super Lustrous range and is in the shade Pink In The Afternoon (415). It is a gorgeous nude shade which is great for everyday wear. I picked up another Collection Work The Colour Eyeshadow Stick as I already had Vanilla Sky and really liked it so I picked up Vintage Blush. The last thing I picked up was a lipstick from Natural Collection. I have only tried a few products from this brand and I have really liked them especially the blush. Again this was another product that I saw on someone's blog it is in the shade Raspberry which is a subtle red and it is the perfect colour for autumn/winter.

What I can summarise from this is that reading other people's blogs is bad for my purse as I always find too many nice things that I want.

I am sorry this haul is quite late as I bought these items quite awhile ago but I could have sworn I had posted it. Look out for another haul soon as I am going away for a few days and I am bound to buy some more things.

What have you bought this week? Any recommendations?
