NOTD: Vivid Purple

Barry M nail polish vivid purple
Barry M 161 vivid purple
I got this for Christmas in a set of Barry M nail polishes. I really like Barry M nail polishes as they are affordable and fantastic quality. I only needed 2 coats of this. I like these polishes as they dry quickly and the are long lasting. This lasted nearly a week before I had to take it off. This seems very similar to OPI's Suzi and the 7 dussledorfs .

Products I’ve Used Up #6

Pantene repair and protect shampoo and conditioner
Pantene repair and protect shampooand conditioner-  £4.69
I love this shampoo and conditioner not only does it smell nice but it leaves my hairfeeling amazing.  After using this, myhair feels really soft and clean.
Would I repurchase? Yes

Imperial leather bath cream, Nivea Creme soft and body shop cassis rose
Imperial Leather Bath Cream – Limited edition
I didn't like the smell of this. However it did create lots of bubbles for when I had a bubblebath which I really liked. I might try some others from the range but not thisscent.
Would I repurchase? No

Nivea Crème Soft- Sample
I really liked this it smelt of soap so it had a nice cleanscent. I found this to be really moisturisingand I liked to use this after scrubbing and shaving my legs.
Would I repurchase? No (because I have a lot of shower gelsto use up)

Body Shop shower gel Cassis Rose- Discontinued
I was so disappointed to find out that this had been discontinued. I love the scent of thisI am not usually a fan of rose scents as they are usually overpowering andcheap smelling. But this was really nice it smelt fresh and was a very subtlescent.

Boots extracts cocoa body butter, Garnier makeup remover and deodrant
Boots Extracts Cocoa Butter- From a gift set full size £7.95
I loved this body butter it was so moisturising and it dried really quickly as well. This smeltamazing and the smell lingered on the skin. I could get away with not applyingit every day because it kept my skinsoft for ages.
Would I repurchase? Yes

This is really good for removing makeup. I used this on lazydays when I didn't have time to use my hotcloth cleanser. I found at times it could make my skin oily.
Would I repurchase? No

I really like this deodorant it smells quite nice and itdoes a really good job. Unlike some deodorants it doesn’t leave white marks on myclothes and dries really quickly.
Would I repurchase? Yes
Witch liquid concealer

I hated this which is a shame as I really like the blemishstick. I found that this was really cakeyon my skin and it didn't cover blemishesat all. It also had a strange smell which I presume was the witch hazel but I didn't like it at all. Also the application was messy as you had to twist it to get the product up and use thebrush to apply it.
Would I repurchase? No

MUA Shimmer Kiss Blusher Review

A picture of MUA's shimmer kisses blush
Where you can buy it: Superdrug and online
Price: £3
Shade Range: blusher or bronzer
What MUA says ‘Shimmer Kisses Blusher highlights skin with four squares of pearlescent shimmer. Each bar also doubles up as eye shadow.

MUA's pink shimmer kisses
My opinion
First of all I want to say out of all the MUA products I have tried this is probably my least favourite. I really liked the Mosaic Blush and expected this to be of a similar quality but it isn't  I do like the packaging and I find it much easier to open compared to the mosaic blush.  I find this blush to be slightly chalky and therefore difficult to blend. The colour pay off however is quite good. I also noticed that this smells slightly of play doh which isn't a particularly nice smell. When the product is on the face it creates quite a nice pink glow. I do like this blush but I'm not wowed by it. MUA says that you can use it as an eyeshadow but I haven’t tried it with this if I had the bronzer I would be more likely to use it as an eyeshadow.

Along Came Betty Glow On Moisturiser Review

Along Came Betty moisturiser box
Where can you buy it: Tesco
Price: £5.99

What Tesco says "This Along Came Betty Glow On radiance moisturiser is enriched with oat extract that instantly tightens for firmer looking skin. The face moisturiser contains apricot which nourishes, for a super soft feel. They'll all be saying: "did a moon beam kiss your face?"
Along Came Betty

My opinion
I bought this when it was first bought out and was only £2.99. I love the Along Came Betty range it is Tesco's answer to Soap and Glory and I have to say the products are just as good as Soap and Glory. I really like the body scrub and I have since tried the bubble bath. This moisturiser smells amazing and is really moisturising. I particularly like this because it really wakes up my skin. It works really well with the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer and foundation. It smells of apricots and I think that is perfect for waking you up in the morning. As the name suggests it does give your skin a glow which looks really nice and healthy. This is so moisturising and you don't need a lot of it to cover your face.

Battle Of The Nudes

Today I wanted to talk about two nude lipsticks. Up until recently I had no nude lipsticks I only had pinks or reds. I decided I needed a nude lipstick that I could wear to school so I ventured out to find a nude that would suit me. I have two to share with you today but I am by no means saying these two are the best they are just the ones I have tried.

MUA Bare
I knew that trusty MUA would have something for me at only £1 you can't really go wrong with their lipsticks. I am very glad to see that MUA have improved the packaging of their lipsticks as now the bottom is not wobbly as it is on my other lipstick and the packaging feels much more secure. I really like this lipstick as it is quite moisturising on the lips and is pretty long lasting. I have even managed to wear it to school and I had to reapply it at break which is at about 11 o'clock which means it had lasted a good 3 hours which is pretty impressive considering that it is only £1. This is quite a light nude and I think if I was any paler it would wash me out but I think this suits me quote well and I am really happy that I bought this.

Revlon Colourburst Icy Nude (002)
First off I want to mention the gorgeous packaging that you get on all Revlon lipsticks. The packaging is very similar to that of the lip butters and I really like how the top has the colour of the product on so you can clearly see what the colour is. This is a much darker shade of brown than Bare but it is still extremely wearable. This is quite moisturising although not quite as moisturising as the lip butters or Bare. That said I think that this suits me slightly better than Bare as it is that little bit darker so it is better for my skin tone. This does have a bit of glitter in it so if you aren't a fan of glittery lipsticks then you won't like this. I believe that these retail at £5.99 but I got mine from a beauty outlet store so it was only £1.99 which is an amazing bargain.

MUA Every Lash Mascara Review

Where you can buy it: Superdrug and online

Price:£3.00

Shade Range: Black/brown, Black and Waterproof

What MUA says ‘‘Every Lash’ is just£3 and it smells of apple!! Yummy! It adds glamour, length and volume to youreyelashes. ‘Every lash’ is available in three shades – Black, Black/Brown andwaterproof. This is the perfect mascara to add length with the firstapplication and glamorous volume with the second. And by using the waterproofshade we guarantee you long lasting full lashes without smearing.

My opinion
I bought this mascara quite a while ago but I had accidentallybought the waterproof one and although I liked it I felt I would give a reallynegative review of it because it was so difficult to remove so I ended up neverwearing it. In my last MUA order I decided to get the black one of this so Icould try it properly and review it for you. For starters let’s talk about theprice it is only £3 which is an amazing price. This mascara is meant tovolumise and lengthen your lashes and it really does. I was amazed by how wellthis worked and how good it makes my lashes look. It smells of apples whichsmells ok but it’s a bit weird for a mascara to smell of apples. The wand is alittle too bendy for my liking but for £3 I can live with it. All in all thisis a really good mascara and I recommend checking it out.

Rimmel Apocalips in Big Bang Review

Where you can buy it: Boots, Superdrug and online

Price:£5.99 (on offer in Boots 3 for 2)

Shade Range: Galaxy, Celestial, Nova, Apocaliptic, Big Bang, Luna, Stella and Eclipse

What Rimmel says ‘The earth-shattering lip lacquer from Rimmel London combining the intense colour of lipstick with a lacquer like shine, Apocalips Lip Lacquer is an explosive make-up phenomenon that represents the end of colour as you know it. Packed with pure colour pigments, its lusciously creamy, conditioning formula promises a never-before combination of colour, shine and comfort that last and last. Available in 8 shades, from subtly sexy to spectacular.

My Opinion
This new craze of liquid lipsticks is very popular right now and the Apocalips are proving to be very popular in the blogging world. I really like the shade range as there is something for everyone. I picked up Big Bang as I am trying to experiment with bright colours and this is a bright red.I love the name of the product as it is very different and so is the packaging.I like how it has an interesting lid and that you can see the colour of the product through the packaging. They are very pigmented and apply really well.It leaves a glossy finish but unlike lipgloss it isn't sticky. This is actually quite hydrating which surprises me. I find that you need to blot it once you've applied it. It does go onto the teeth but this stops after a 5 minutes of wearing it. The staying power is pretty impressive it lasts a good couple of hours in which time it fades but it leaves a really nice stain on the lips. I have heard that these work better with a lip liner underneath which I need to invest in. I think I might get one of the MUA ones as they are only £1. I am quite impressed with this and am very glad that I picked it up. I don’t think I’ll be going out to get any others though as I prefer lipsticks.

Have you tried any Apocalips?

Updated Skincare Routine #2

In the morning I wash my face with the Neutrogena grapefruit face wash. When I first got this I found the smell to be too strong but now I really like it. I then use the Nivea cleanser and toner from their daily essentials range. I really like this as it is very moisturising. The moisturiser that I am using that the moment is the radiance moisturiser from Along Came Betty. I love this as it smells really nice and it wakes my skin up.

In the evening I use my vitamin e hot cloth cleanser to remove my makeup. I really like this as it removes makeup really well. I them use my botanics toning spray to remove anything that the cleanser hasn't removed. This is really refreshing and in the summer I spray it throughout the day. I am using the balance me moisturiser at the moment and I really like it. It is really moisturising and it is made from natural ingredients.

Once a week I will use a face mask and scrub. At the moment I am really liking the face mask from Superdrug's simply pure range. My skin feels really soft after I use this. The scrub I'm using at the moment is the my skin face scrub. This smells really nice and its too harsh either.

On days when I'm feeling a bit lazy then I won't use my hot cloth cleanser to remove my makeup. I will either use a face wipe or my Garnier makeup remover. The Kleenex wipes are really soft although not the best for removing makeup. I quite like the Garnier makeup remover although it wouldn't be suitable for oily skin types.

When I have spots I will use my witch blemish stick in the morning. This works really well at reducing the spots. In the evening I will use the clean and clear dual action moisturiser. I put a blob of it on my spot and let it sink in. This works really well at reducing spots.

What do you use?

Maybelline 24hr Colour Tattoo in On and on Bronze Review

Where can you buy it: Boots, Superdrug and online

Price: £4.99( on offer for £3.99 at Superdrug)

Shade range: Eternal Gold, Endless Purple, Turquoise Forever, On and on Bronze, Permanent Taupe, Eternal Silver, Immortal Charcoal, Pink Gold

What Maybelline says: 'Dare to wear NEW Colour Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel eye shadow. With up to 24HR staying power. Popping colour that glides on. Get inked! Our technology creates super -saturated shadow. Cream Gel smooth’s on for vibrant colour that does not fade.'

My opinion: I am really late on the bandwagon with this. I remember last year when everyone was raving about this. At the time I wasn't really into cream eyeshadows. I am so glad I bought this as I am completely in love with it. I have been wearing this most days this month. This is really easy to blend on the eyelid and although when you first apply it it is quite wet it drys really quickly. This is long lasting (although I don't know about 24 hours as I'm never up that long) and it doesn't fade throughout the day. This is great as a base for other shadows or by itself. I love the packaging as it look very professional and it is easy to open as well. They have plenty of shades to choose from and I think I am going to purchase Permanent Taupe. These are really affordable and are an amazing quality.

January Favourites

It’s time for my January favourites post and my firstfavourites of the year. As I said in my December favourites I would probablyhave a lot more favourites and I do. I enjoyed trying out all of my stuff fromChristmas and I wanted to share with you the products that have stood out themost to me this month.

La vie est belle
I got a sample of this last year and included it in my OctoberFavourites  but I wanted to include it in my favourites again as I now have the full size. It smells amazing and is great for every day. The bottle is simple and elegant and I am completely in love with it.

Radiance glow on moisturiser
I love this moisturiser it smells amazing and it wakes myskin up in the morning. It creates a nice healthy glow and it works amazinglywith my Rimmel Wake Me Upconcealer and foundation.

I love this scrub it works really well without being tooabrasive. It smells really lovely as well. It looks very similar to Sugar Crushby Soap and Glory and although I have not tried it this looks like it could bea dupe for it.

I have been loving this as it actually works. I have seen areduction in the amount of split ends. This leaves my hair feeling really niceand it smells good as well. If you want to hear more about it watch my Haircare routine video.

I love all of my Real Techniques brushes but this is one ofmy favourites. This is great for buffing in foundation and it creates such aflawless look.

Powder brush
This has been another favourite brush of mine. I am amazedat the quality of this brush. It is only £3 but it feels really soft and it isa really good quality brush. I want to get my hands on some of the eye brushesto see what they are like.

MUA Bare
I love this lipstick for school as it is a perfect nudecolour. It is really long lasting and quite moisturising on the lips.

I am surprised by how much I like this. It is a reallywearable shade of red. I love the packaging of the lip butters and the conceptis something that I find really appealing.

Maybelline colour tattoo
I am a bit late on the bandwagon with this as everyone wasraving about these last year.  I pickedthis up at the end of December and I have been in love with it. It is agorgeous colour that is really pigmented.  I have been wearing this pretty much every daythis month.

MUA gel eyeliner in Underground
I have really enjoyed using this eyeliner. It is really pigmented and creates a really smooth line on the lid. It lasts all day and is easy to remove. This is probably one of my favourite ever gel eyeliner.
