Clean and Clear Morning Energy Daily Facial Scrub Review

Clean and Clear Morning Energy Daily Facial Scrub
I picked up the Clean and Clear Morning Energy Daily Facial Scrub as I had previously used the face wash version of this and I really liked it so I thought I would give this a go. I liked the face wash has it had a really fresh scent that really woke me up in the morning. It had little beads in that gently exfoliated my skin so I could used it everyday. This claims to be an everyday scrub and it is pretty much identical to the face wash however I feel that this has more exfoliating beads in. I find that although the scrub isn't really harsh on my skin it isn't as gentle as the face wash. I don't use this everyday as I think it would be too much for my skin.

I use this when I have a shower in the morning. I find that the scent really helps ton wake me up. Using this does make my skin feel really smooth afterwards and as long as I moisturise after using it I find that my skin feels a lot better.

Clean and Clear Morning Energy Daily Facial Scrub

Overall I probably wouldn't repurchase this as I do prefer the face wash version. I also preferred the packaging of the face wash as that came with a pump whereas this is just a squeezy tube which means I often get too much out at once.

Have you tried this?

Month of Lipsticks: MUA Shade 2 (Day 5)

I have quite a few of the MUA lipsticks as they are only £1. They may not have the most glamours packaging in the world, but they do have a really good colour range and the quality is pretty god for such a budget lipstick. Today I am sharing with you Shade 2, one of the other downsides to these lipsticks is that most of the shades don't have a name.

Shade 2 is a really pretty plum colour and I don't have many of these in my collection. The formula is really nice it is creamy and doesn't drag across the lips. This doesn't last that long on my lips I find it fades after 2 hours and needs reapplying. However with a lip liner it might last longer but I have never really used lip liners before so  if you have any recommendations of some affordable lip liners I would love to hear them.

Month of Lipsticks: Rimmel Sweetie (Day 4)

This lipstick holds a special place in  my heart as I got it for such a great bargain. This was reduced in Tesco hence the the sticky stuff on the packaging as it had a reduced sticker wrapped around it (annoying!). They had quite a few lipsticks which all had a sticker saying £4.89 on which isn't really that great of a deal as they are £4.99 in Boots so they only had 10p off. However this ones label had been misprinted and I got it for 89p!

Anyway now onto the actual lipstick, the packaging is the usual Rimmel packaging. This is from the Lasting Finish range and comes in a really nice deep burgundy case which has some glitter running through it and it has the Rimmel crown on the lid.

Sweetie is a bright pink with blue undertones which help to make your teeth look whiter. This lipstick has a small amount of glitter/shimmer in it but it isn't too much so it is still very wearable. The lipstick applies smoothly and has a very creamy formula which isn't drying on the lips. I really like this lipstick it is in my favourite shade. I love wearing this sort of bright pinks and by the end of this series you'll probably be fed up with seeing them.

Month of Lipsticks: Natural Collection Pink Mallow (Day 2)

Natural Collection Pink Mallow
Today I am wearing Natural Collection's Pink Mallow. I really like the Natural Collection lipsticks they are a good quality and super affordable. The packaging isn't the best but I really love this colour. It is a really pale pink which is really good for everyday.

Natural Collection Pink Mallow
This pale pink is really good for days when I don't want to wear a dark colour but I want to wear something on my lips. I really like the creamy formula of these lipsticks as they feel really comfortable on my lips. They aren't the most long lasting lipsticks available but they do last a reasonable amount of time.

Origins Gift Set- Mask Marvels

I got this amazing gift set from Boots for just £25. It was on offer and normally this costs £50. This gift set is from Origins which is a skincare brand that I have never tried.

This set comes with 3 of the Orgins face masks. In the set you get Clear Improvement which is a charcoal mask and is meant to clear your pores, Drink Up Intensive which is an overnight mask which hydrates the skin and lastly Out of Trouble which is for problem skin. The masks aren't full size, they are 75ml and the full size ones are 100ml. This was a fantastic deal though as I got 3 masks for the price of one as the full size masks are £23 each. I am looking forward to trying these out and I will be reviewing them as soon as I have tried them out.

Have you tried anything from Origins?

Month of Lipsticks: Revlon Cheers (Day 3)

Today I am wearing the Revlon Colourburst Lipgloss in Cheers. I really love these as they are not too sticky. I hate glosses that are really sticky but the formula of these are great. They are really pigmented and pretty long lasting for a lipgloss. I love the packaging of this lipgloss it feels a lot more expensive than it is.

I also really like the applicator on these glosses as although it is a doe foot applicator it is quite flexible which means you can get a really even application. The shade Cheers is a gorgeous deep fuchsia colour I told you that this was my favourite colour to wear.

Collection Eyeshadow Stick in Vintage Blush Review

Collection Eyeshadow Stick in Vintage Blush

I am a massive fan of the Collection Work the Colour Eyeshadow Pencils and I currently have 3 in my collection; Vanilla Sky, Vintage Blush and Midnight Glam. Many brands offer eyeshadow pencils although I have only tried the Rimmel and Collection ones.

Collection Eyeshadow Stick in Vintage Blush

Firstly lets talk about the packaging, its is a chunky pencil but what I like about this range is that the pencil corresponds to the colour of the product it makes it a lot easier to find when you've got a big collection of eyeliners and eyeshadow pencils. One of the downsides to the packaging is that you need to sharpen these which can be messy. It would have been better if you were able to twist it up like you can with the chubby lip crayons.

Collection Eyeshadow Stick in Vintage Blush
Vintage Blush is a gorgeous shimmery rose gold pink. This works really well as a base for other pink shadows or just as an all over colour on the lid. One of the reasons that I like eyeshadow pencils so much is because they are quick to apply and require little effort. The range of colours that Collection offers is really good, there are 6 colours in the range and all of them are quite wearable colours. The only colour that I am not interested in is the blue but I have my eye one the brown and the grey. I find with some ranges available they don't have many wearable colours but this range is really impressive not only are most of the colours really wearable they are quite unique. I have never seen a drugstore brand do a colour like this before.

Collection Eyeshadow Stick in Vintage Blush
The formula of these eyeshadow pencils is very smooth and creamy. It dries quite quickly so you do need to blend quickly although it is very easy to blend. The pencil is very pigmented and you don't need to press too hard to apply the product. I have read that some people have found that there's has snapped however this has not happened to me. Once you have applied these they will last all day and they won't smudge.

Collection Eyeshadow Stick in Vintage Blush
These are very affordable at just £3.19 although they are often on offer so you can get a good deal on them. As I mentioned above I am interested in adding the bronze and grey to my collection as I know I would get a lot of wear out of them.

Have you tried these? What do you think?

Month of Lipsticks: L'Oreal Intense Fuschia (Day 1)

I have decided that for the month of December I am going to post a about a lipstick each day. I will also be posting other posts as well so you will see 2 posts from me each day. I thought I would kick off with this gorgeous lipstick from L'Oreal. The packaging of L'Oreal lipsticks is amazing and looks so much more expensive than it is.

The shade I am sharing with you today is called Intense Fuschia (228) This is from their Intense Colour Riche range. I really like this lipstick it is creamy, moisturising and long lasting. I love these types of colours 'bright pinks that are almost reds' and you will probably see a lot of similar colour throughout the month. It has a really nice glossy finish which I personally love as I am not a fan of matte lipsticks.

Illamasqua Liquid Metal in Electrum Review

Illamasqua Liquid Metal in Electrum
I got this Liquid Metal from Illamsqua quite awhile ago but until recently I hadn't really used it. It is a cream eyeshadow and I wasn't really sure that gold would suit me but I recently tried it and I really like it. You may remember that I got this in a mystery gift box quite awhile ago.

Illamasqua Liquid Metal in Electrum
The packaging has an unusual shape, I don't know what shape you'd call it but it isn't fully square. All of Illamsqua's powder and cream products are packaged in this way. The pot is made of plastic and it is clear so you can see the colour of the product, the lid is a simple black lid with the logo in the middle. The packaging is very simply but I really like it. It is quite compact so it doesn't take up to much space in my makeup bag.

Illamasqua Liquid Metal in Electrum
I have the shade Electrum which is a metallic gold. I have worn it is an eyeshadow a couple of times. It applies really easily, it is very creamy and pigmented but it is very easy to blend. I actually like to wear this as an eyeliner. I like to apply a pale shimmery shade on my eyelids and using the Real Techniques Fine Liner Brush I apply this to my lids. I create a thin line without a flick. I really like the look that this creates. I think it would be great to wear to a Christmas party. I like using this as an eyeliner as it doesn't smudge or transfer and it will last all day.

Illamasqua Liquid Metal in Electrum

I don't know whether I would pay £17.50 as it seems quite a lot of money for something that I don't use on a daily basis.

Sanctuary Spa Gift Set- Box of Delights

Sanctuary Spa Gift Set- Box of Delights
This was another one of the Boots Star Gifts. It was originally £45 but I got it on offer for £22. I thought I would share with you what was in it. I love Sanctuary Spa products, the smell amazing and I am addicted to the scent.

Sanctuary Spa Gift Set- Box of Delights
Firstly I want to talk about the packaging this gift set came in a gorgeous box. The lid lifts off and the the box opens out so you can get to the products.

Sanctuary Spa Gift Set- Box of Delights
The first thing I noticed was the Body Butter, I currently have the travel size of this and I absolutely love it. It smells amazing and is really moisturising on my skin.
Sanctuary Spa Gift Set- Box of Delights
Next we have the Foaming Creamy Bath Soak, I can't use this at the moment as at Uni I don't have a bath but I can't wait to use it when I go home. I can think of nothing better than having a bath using this heavenly scented product. I got the Cleansing Burst Body Wash which I can not wait to use in the shower. I have so many shower gels in my shower at the moment but this is going to be lovely. It will be a tough decision to decide whether to use this or the Body Shop Glazed Apple one which I am completely in love with.

Sanctuary Spa Gift Set- Box of Delights
Next we have the Luxury Bath Float, I can see that I will be having a lot of baths when I get home. You also get the Silky Smooth Body Lotion.

Sanctuary Spa Gift Set- Box of Delights
Next I got the Intensive Heel Balm, the Hand Cream and the Radiance Exfoliator. I can't wait to try these out especially the hand and foot cream.

Sanctuary Spa Gift Set- Box of Delights
The last thing I got was the Gentle Polish Body Scrub which I am interested in trying as I love trying different scrubs out and my one from Soap and Glory is nearly empty.

In the gift set there was also a voucher for £2 off their bodycare products which I will certainly be using. I can't wait to use these products as they smell amazing if you have never smelt Sanctuary's products I recommend that you do as they smell fantastic.

NOTD: Indigo Night

NOTD: Revlon Indigo Night
Today I am sharing with you a polish from Revlon. I picked this up from Poundworld as the one near me has a lot of Revlon nail polishes in at the moment. I like the Revlon Colourstay polishes but I wouldn't want to spend £7.99 on them so I often pick them up in discount shops.

NOTD: Revlon Indigo Night

NOTD: Revlon Indigo Night
I picked up the shade Indigo Night which is a gorgeous blue shade. I really like wearing blue polishes and I fell in love with this shade. I like these Revlon polishes as they have a really wide brush which makes the application very easy. You only need 2 coats of this polish for it to become fully opaque. The polish lasts a week before it starts to chip.

NOTD: Revlon Indigo Night
I recommend checking out Poundworld to see if they have any of these polishes as I really like this range I think I have 7 or 8 from this range. They have a fantastic range of colours and the quality is really good.
