Anyone Want To Do A Guest Post?

I was wondering if anyone wanted to do a guest post for my blog. It can be anything beauty or fashion related as long as I haven't already posted something similar. Some suggestions are Top 5 Lipsticks a Review of your favourite product it's up to you. If you are interested please email me (kirsty.pearson100@gmail.com) or contact me via Twitter (Pearson_Kirsty). I would need to have the posts by next Tuesday as I want to post them during next week because I am starting 6th form and I won't have time to post anything during the first week.

L'Oreal's Fantastic Free Gift

Whilst in Boots the other day I saw this fantastic offer. If you spend £15 on L'Oreal makeup then you get a free gift. I thought this was a great offer so I picked up 3 things.
IMG_4062

I picked up the Superliner perfect slim in intense black for my mum who had wanted a new eyeliner it was £6.99 (I couldn’t find a link for it on the Boots website sorry). I picked up one of their nail polishes as I haven’t tried their nail polishes before. I chose the shade French Riviera which was £4.99. The last thing I got was a lipstick in the shade Sensual Rose. This is a very different colour to the ones I already own. It’s such a pretty colour and I love the packaging it was £8.19.
Sensual rose

Now onto the free gift.

Free gift 2

I got 2 nail polishes Opulent Pink and You Are Worth It. I also got a glam shine lip gloss in the shade Magnetic Nude Glow. The last product I got was the Super Liner Luminizer in black diamond. I also got a booklet telling you how to do different looks, some nail art stickers, the true match foundation sample and the nude magique BB cream sample. This is a great deal and I recommend that you all look into it.

pretty-little-liars-18

As my other Pretty Little Liars inspired posts seemed to go down really well I thought I would do some more of them.
I love this dress that Aria is wearing, the spiked shoulders are really cool and add a bit of edge to quite girly accessories. Unfortunately when it came to finding a similar dress I couldn't  find any that were in a similar colour I could only seem to find black but I thought I’d still include it.

Necklace- House Of Fraser- £16

Undressed Palette The Review

So I’m sure you’ve already heard lots about this palette but I still wanted to share my opinion of it. I hauled it in this post here. I’m sure you’ve heard already that this palette is a very good dupe for the Naked palette although never trying it myself I can’t say whether it is similar or not although the colours look very similar. This palette is £4 (although I got it for £3) whereas the Naked palette is £36.
Undreesed palette

As you can see from the above picture it is the perfect neutrals palette. It has quite a wide range of shades some light and some dark. I really love this palette it is really good quality the shades are super pigmented and buying this has made me want to try more of MUA’s palettes. The shades last a really long time without a primer and with a primer they last all day. I use a homemade primer which you can see a post on here. I love this palette and I reach for it almost everyday as you can do so many different looks with it. I recommend this palette to everyone even if you already have the Naked palette as it is a really good palette.
Here are the swatches:

Have you tried this palette or any of the other MUA ones?

OOTD- Time To Celebrate

As you probably all know yesterday was GCSE results day and I was one of those people who had to wake up early and collect their results. I had been so nervous about my results that I am just so glad that the wait is all over. One of the main reasons that I was worrying is because the school that I want to go to for 6th form has very high entrance requirements so I was so happy when I found out I had 3As and 6Bs. Now it’s time to celebrate and I can finally get a good nights sleep. So I thought I’d share with you what I wore out to meal with my family to celebrate my results.
DSCN0687

The dress is from Yumi I got this dress in the sale whilst I was on holiday. It was meant to be £50 but I got if for £5 (yes you read that correctly) I even checked the dress to see if there was anything wrong with it but I couldn’t find anything wrong with it so I bought it.

Sorry for the poor photo.

So it here it is on my face I have Rimmel wake me up foundation ( review here) MUA blush English Rose, Shade 5 of the undressed palette and Revlon Kissable balm stain in Cherish. The shoes are from Brantano.

Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain In Victorian Review

I’m sure many of you have seen reviews of the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable balm stains but I noticed that there aren’t many reviews of the first lip stain which came out before them. They are pretty much the same except the kissable balm stain combines the stain and balm of the old ones. I have actually bought one of the kissable balm stains in the shade Cherish and will be doing a review of that shortly. But I thought I’d share my views on the old ones as I think that they are rather good and I’ve got high hopes for Cherish. I showed the lip stain in this haul here.
DSCN0595
.
So this is what it looks like one end is the stain and one end is the balm. The balm on mine is broken so I use a clear balm that I already owned instead.

Victorian On the lips
On the lips
As you can see the colour is not as dark as the packaging suggests but it still adds a nice colour to the lips. When you but the balm on it looks lovely and feels very moisturised. But once the balm effect has faded away the lips are left very the dry but once reapplied they are fine. I really like this product and I can’t wait to try the Kissable balms as they are said to be even better. I’ve noticed that a lot of other drugstore brands are bringing their own lipstains out. Rimmel has one very similar to this out and Collection  (formally Collection 2000) has bought out a lip stain. I couldn’t find a link to this particular shade on the Superdrug website but it is on the Revlon website. I do like this product but I would not spend £7.99 on it as I think you can get better stains with much more colour at cheaper prices. I do like the colour of this but the packaging is very misleading and if I’d been able to swatch it I might have got a different colour. I think these are worth picking up if you see them in Poundland or a store similar but don’t spend £7.99 on them I think the Kissable balm stains will be much better. They are currently on offer at the moment at Superdrug £5.99 instead of £7.99.

Poundland And The Original Factory Shop Haul

These two shops are great places to find makeup at affordable prices most of the time the products are either discontinued or old stock but they are still perfectly good products. When I heard that Stila was in Poundland I knew that I had to go and get some stuff as this would be my first chance to try some more expensive makeup without paying the huge price for it.
DSCN0584

So I picked up the hair refresher which is basically dry shampoo except it isn’t aerosol and it smells nicer. I got the tinted moisturiser in Medium 01 which might be too dark for me but I haven’t tried it yet. That is the only problem with these two shops is you can’t test products  so you just have to take a chance which you can afford to do when it’s a pound. I also got a pack of foundation sponges and an eyeshadow in the shade Sajama.
DSCN0587
DSCN0588

I also picked up a Revlon lipglide in Peachy Sheen I really like the colour of this and it is a really nice lipgloss. I also got a perfume and I was shocked when I got to the till and found out it was only 50p. This doesn’t have the prettiest bottle in the world but it smells amazing and you get 100ml of product which is fantastic.
DSCN0595
DSCN0695

The last two things were from the original factory shop. I picked up a Revlon Just Bitten Lip stain. These came out before the kissable balm stains. I got mine in the shade Victorian. I am really loving this which makes me want to try the kissable balm stains. I also got a Technic nail polish in the shade Carnival which you will have seen in my NOTD. This was only £2 and it is a dupe for an OPI nail polish.

NOTD- Let’s Go To The Carnival

Today I have an NOTD for you I haven’t painted my nails for what seems like forever. So it was quite fun choosing the colours to use. I picked an old Avon one in the shade jester and for the accent nail I used my new Technic nail polish in Carnival which is a dupe for OPI Rainbow Connection. I got it for £2 from the original factory shop.

MUA Haul

This is the first of many hauls of things that I bought whilst on holiday. Some of the items I did buy before I went away but I thought that I’d include everything once I got back. I have split my hauls up otherwise it would be one massive post. Please also note that I bought most of the products unless otherwise stated. So sit back and enjoy this haul.

So if you don’t already know (where have you been) MUA is a brand that you can only get in Superdrug or online that is very affordable. Recently they have become quite popular due to the release of the Undressed palette which is a dupe for the Naked palette.
DSCN0688

Mosaic Blush in English Rose
I bought this before I went away so I had the chance to use it whilst I was away and a full review will be coming shortly but I can tell you this it is amazing. I’ve never really been in to blushers before and then I heard that this was really good and as it’s only £2.50 I thought that it was worth a try and I can tell you that it is 100%.
DSCN0696

Extreme Felt Eyeliner in Black
I picked this up so that I could practise the winged eyeliner look. I’ve never been able to do it as I have very shaky hands but I thought I’d try this to see if i could finally do it. If you have any tips please leave them in the comment box. This was only £2 so won’t be too disappointed if it doesn’t work.
DSCN0592

Every Lash Mascara in Black
This is another product that I’ve heard good things about. I already have the Extreme Curl Mascara which is also by MUA and I really enjoy using it so I thought I’d give this one a try plus at the moment it is save £1 so it was £2 instead of £3.

The next two items are things that I have wanted for a while but every shop I’ve been into was sold out so I was very lucky to find them especially as they were save £1 so only cost me £3 instead of £4. I also included them in my weekend wishlist. By now I’m sure you all know what I’m talking about so I’ll just get on and show you.
DSCN0590

Going For Gold Palette
This is the limited edition Olympic themed palette with lots of golds, silvers and bronzes. I can’t wait to use this.
DSCN0591

Undressed Palette
This palette has had so much press recently and I can’t wait to try it. I have wanted the Naked palette for awhile but knew I would never be able to afford it so I am so glad that MUA has released this.

I will be doing reviews of these products as soon as I have tried and used them for a bit.

What is your favourite MUA product?

Probably when I was in the cinema with my friend, we were in the foyer waiting for my mum to pick us up she rang me to tell us where she was and whilst I was talking on the phone I moved slightly and knocked over one of those cardboard cut-out things only this one had leaflets in. I'm Back

Just wanted to do a quick post telling you that am back from my holiday and that there won't be anymore scheduled posts for awhile. I hope you all enjoyed the posts that went up whilst I was away. I can tell you that for the next few weeks there will be lots of haul posts and by the end you'll be sick of seeing haul posts. I also want to take the time to formally welcome all my new followers that I have gained whilst I was away and also thank my other followers as well. If you have any post suggestion now would be a great time to suggest them as I only have haul posts planned at the moment. I know it's not a proper post but I just wanted to  update you all and I promise that 'proper' posts will be up soon :)

NOTD: As Seen on Pretty Little Liars

For those of you living in the UK you will know that pretty little liars isn't on our screens at the moment so we  have to make do with re-runs on MTV. I recently rewatched Blind Dates (season 2 episode 4) and I noticed this nail design worn by Hanna. I haven't copied it exactly as I felt the hearts were a bit over the top and Valentines day has already been. I've basically painted all of my nails in the red and black French manicure style.Check out my French manicure here.

Here is my version of the design to create it simply follow the steps shown in my French manicure tutorial

Revlon Lip Butter Review- Strawberry Shortcake

Recently I was lucky enough to win a Revlon lip butter and I did a post on it here. I am now going to do a review on it to give you my views on the product  and even though I didn’t buy this product the review is still going to be my honest opinion.
So I’m sure by now that you all know what the packaging looks like but I’m going to show you anyway as they have different colours depending on the shade.
DSCN0370

I love the packaging of the lip butters the case doesn’t fall off but it isn’t difficult to take off either.
DSCN0331

As you can see it is a lovely baby pink colour. This is an everyday colour in my opinion and it is a very wearable shade.
DSCN0372

Sorry for the poor swatch but I hope you can see the colour ok. The texture of the lip butters are creamy and add a little colour to the lips which can easily be built up.
I find it very moisturising on the lips however it doesn’t last very long I’d say about 2-3 hours before I needed to reapply. I really like these lip butters and I would  love to try some of the other shades however £7.99 seems rather expensive to me so I think I will wait as I’m sure Superdrugs or Boots will have some offer on at some point.
I really like the look of the shades Cupcake, Cotton Candy, Sweet Tart and Berry Smoothie

Have you tried any of the lip butters?

Products I've Used Up

DSCN0247
As you can see I have a few finished products to share with you. I have been collecting these products for a while now and I thought I would finally do a post on them.
DSCN0248

I love the herbal essence range I have constantly repurchased from this brand. A few weeks ago I went for a weekend away so I bought a travel size shampoo to take with me. I choose the tresemme one and I really liked using it. It lasted longer than expected as well.

DSCN0249
I love the radox smoothies they smell amazing and I always take them when I go on a trip. I got the other body wash from the body shop in a set for Christmas it smells really good and I really want to get the full size.

DSCN0250
I finished my nail polish remover it was just a cheap one from Sainsburys and I have already re-purchased it. Next is the body lotion that goes with the body wash mentioned above it also smells amazing and I was sad to finish it. I used up impulse's very pink I love the sweet girly scent. The simple facial toner I really enjoyed using but now that I have finished and want to try something else (any suggestions). I haven't quite finished the last two but am nearly finished them so I thought I'd include them. I have used the simple face wash and although it is good it isn't amazing so I bought the Neutrogena one. I love the dirty works foot butter and I have already bought a new one. It is such a bargain at it smells really nice.
