MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighter Review

I want to start off by apologising for the lack of posts, the reason is that I'm currently busy revising for my AS exams so that is taking up a lot of my time I'm going to try and schedule some posts for you but I may not be able to post as many as I usually do. I hope you can all understand and know that I will be back to blogging as soon as my exams finish. My last exam is June 5th and after that I will be posting more regularly.
MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighter
I picked up this highlighter a while ago from MUA and now I'm going to review it for you. This highlighter is part of their Undress Your Skin range and I have tried the foundation in this range and I love it (review).

Here's what MUA says: Undress your Skin Highlighting Powder is a lightweight baked powder designed to provide sheer coverage and a radiant soft-focus effect to transform your complexion with luminescence shimmer. The Undress Your Skin Highlighting Powder perfects any look by creating a natural, healthy glow that is suitable for all skin tones.

The Undress Your Skin range comes in the new white packaging. I really like the white packaging on this highlighter, it is sturdy and doesn't feel like it will break easily. You get 7.5g of product for £3. This is going to last me ages as you only need a small amount of it.

The product itself has a beautiful swirl pattern to it, people have said it looks very similar to a MAC highlighter but I can't remember which one.

The products is very pigmented without being too pigmented (if that makes sense). When applied to the skin it doesn't make your face look like a glitter ball it just adds a very natural looking shimmer to your cheeks.

This lasts really well on the skin I'd say about 6-7 hours which is really good considering the price. I am in love with this highlighter and have been using it most days. It even featured in my April Favourites post.

NOTD- Nothing Else Metals

Now that I have collected all the colours from Essie's Mirror Metallics collection I have loved painting my nails with them. These are perfect for a night out as you only need one coat and they dry really quickly. They last a reasonable amount of time before they chip (it depends on what you are doing and if you use a top coat)

Nothing Else Metals is a gorgeous purple colour that looks lovely for spring/summer. I love the whole of the Mirror Metallics range, I think Penny Talk is my favourite from the collection. I'm thinking of doing an Essie collection post let me know if this is something you are interested in seeing.

June 2013- Magazine Freebies

This month there some amazing magazine freebies that I want to share with you. As most of you will know magazines are a great way to try some great makeup and skincare brands for a much lower price. I recommend that if you plan on picking up more than one magazine that is the same so you can try all the free products (please say I'm not the only one who does that) then use self service or buy them separately as you get some strange looks and I've had people in the past asking if I meant to pick up more than one. Anyway onto the freebies.

This month Marie Claire are giving away some Avon products. As far as I'm aware you can only get Avon products from a representative or online you can't buy them in the shop. At least you can't in the UK. So they are giving an Avon eyeliner in Black, a brow pencil in Dark Brown and a lipstick in Smitten Red. I have included swatches of the products below so you can decide which one to get or you could get all 3 like I did. I've only used the products a few times so I can't give a full review of them but I can definitely say that they are worth picking up. I especially like the eyeliner and lipstick. Also the magazine gives a free sample sachet of the Avon BB cream.

I'd also like to mention that next month they are giving away a Ciaté mini polish and Caviar kit which will include paint pot in Cookies and Cream and a Caviar polish in Shooting Stars. This comes out on June 6th.

Instyle magazine were giving free Nails Inc polishes this month. There are 3 colours to choose from You're A Peach, Totes Pink and It's Red Babez. I decided to go for the red as Totes pink looked very similar to Elizabeth Street that came in an issue of Glamour magazine. The peach colour didn't appeal to me as I'm not a massive fan of peach colours. I haven't used this yet but I'm sure it will be good.

Next month they are giving a Neal's Yard Remedies moisturiser. I have a hand cream by the same brand which I got in Marie Claire which I really like so I can't wait to try this moisturiser.

Probably the most exciting freebie is this mini Benefit They're Real mascara. I have been wanting to try this mascara for ages but at £19.50 a tube, it's a lot of money of money to spend on a mascara. This is a great opportunity to give this a try. I have used this and I really like it. It made my lashes look amazing, I'm even tempted to buy the full size but I'll have to use some of my other mascaras first.

Next month Elle are giving away some fake tan in 3 different shades to choose from. I won't be picking this up however as I don't like fake tan.

Did you pick up any freebies this month?

Dainty Doll- My Girl Blush Review

Dainty Doll- My Girl Blush
I love the packaging of the boxes of Dainty Doll products I think it is really cute. As you probably know Fragrance Direct sold many Dainty Doll products for as little as £1.99. This is a great bargain as they are usually much more expensive. These blushes usually retail at £13.50 so it is great to get them so cheap. I reviewed the concealer a few weeks ago which I was really disappointed with but the blushes are amazing.

Dainty Doll- My Girl Blush
Today I'm going to be reviewing the shade My Girl, which is a gorgeous light pink colour. I also bought another shade called You Are My Sunshine which I'll be reviewing at another time.

Dainty Doll- My Girl Blush
I love the sleek, black packaging the design is very simple but it looks really elegant. This also comes with a big mirror which is really handy for on the go.

Dainty Doll- My Girl Blush
The colour is a gorgeous light pink. This looks really natural on my skin and it adds a nice pink glow. The blushes are quite pigmented but thankfully it doesn't matter if you are heavy handed as it is difficult to apply too much. This is a very pretty blush which is perfect for spring/summer. I love this and I included it in my April favourites

April Favourites

April Favourites
I'm sorry that I haven't blogged for nearly a week, I have been really busy revising for my exams so for the next few weeks I may not be posting as often. I hope you understand.Today I wanted to share with you my April favourites.

Soap and Glory's The Daily Smooth body butter
I've had it's for quite awhile, but because I have so many other body butters I didn't use it. I recently rediscovered it this month. I love it, it smells absolutely amazing and it leaves my skin feeling so soft. You can get away with not using this everyday as it moisturises your skin really well.

Dainty Doll My Girl Blush
I really like this blush it is the perfect blush for spring. This is really pigmented and is super soft and easy to blend. I like this blush as it is really long lasting and looks lovely on my skin.

Revlon Colorstay 12 Hour Eyeshadow in Coffee Bean
Unfortunately this has been discontinued but I found this in a discount beauty shop. I have been really enjoying this little quad. You can create so many different looks with this and I love having all the colours in one place.

MUA Undress Your Skin highlighter
I love this highlighter it is so pretty. This looks lovely with My Girl and adds a shimmer to your cheeks without being too much. I think this is going to be a staple for me this summer.

Maybelline Great Lash mascara
I am in love with this mascara, it makes my lashes look amazing. It lengthens and volumises my lashes. I really like the wand as it is quite small so you can use it for your lower lashes.

What have you been loving this month?
