Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Sweetheart Tulips Review

This is the old formula of the Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick as they have quite recently changed the formula and packaging. I don't believe that this shade is available in the new line up but I still wanted to share it with you as I have been wearing it a lot recently. I got this from Fragrance Direct quite a while ago but now I've been using it quite a bit I feel I can give a good review of it.

Packaging
Firstly I want to start by saying how much I love the packaging, it is a gorgeous purple colour and it looks much nicer than some packaging used by other drugstore brands. As with most Rimmel lipsticks there is a crown on the lid which is a nice touch and makes it easy to identify in a collection. However they could improve the packaging by making the casing correspond to the colour of the product so it is even easier to identify. They do have a coloured sticker on the bottom but due to the designing of the packaging you can't stand it upside down so that you can see the label.

Colour
The colour is a bright pink although it's not too bright that it is unwearable. I would wear this colour during the day as it isn't bright enough to look like it is too much for the daytime. There is flecks of shimmer running through the product but it isn't too much and I don't think that it looks too much on the lips. I feel that this colour would work on a lot of different skin tones.

Formula
The formula of this lipstick is very creamy and doesn't dry out my lips. I wouldn't say it is the most moisturising product ever but as it doesn't feel drying it gets a thumbs up from me. It lasts a reasonable amount of time at 2-3 hours before it needs touching up. When it fades it does lose the moisturised feeling and on occasions can feel dry but it fades quite evenly so you can get away with it if you don't have time to reapply. It has a faint smell to it but that doesn't last on the lips and it isn't very string.

As I mentioned this is the old formula so I am looking forward to trying the new ones as it will be interesting to see how they have changed. I got As You Want Victoria for Christmas but have yet to try it. Overall I really like this lipstick and I have been wearing it a lot. I think this shade of pink really complements my skintone. If you can get old of this then I would recommend it, Fragrance Direct has a small range on their site and you may be able to find it on Ebay

The current range is available from Boots or Superdrug and retails for £6.49 but these stores always have offers on. After looking on the Boots website I was surprised by the number of shades available there is 20 shades on the website and I have listed them all below. 20 shades is a very large amount for a drugstore brand so there should be something for everyone in this range.
